  • Hey all!My name is Breanna, call me Brezi (breezy). Im almost 23, wife and mother of 2 little ladies.
Im new here, just started trying this IF thing again after about a year of my initial try.
I’m mom of 2 now, and I found that with my first, losing the weight was quite easy. But now with my second, i have been eating way better, and exercise {a little} more, but the weight is stuck! 🙁
With my first i was 145 pre – 186 post…took me 2 months to get to 165, then another year or so to get to 135

my second i was 132 pre – 155 post (the day i gave birth i was 165) so i birthed baby- lost 10 lbs in one day lol! but that’s it! she’s TEN months old now. 🙁 and still nothing.

so im trying IF again. coupled with vegetarian styled clean eating/ paleo. (don’t ask me why im veg, i do what i want)..lol.

now i know, i’ve heard that it can take up to 2 years to get back to pre preg body, but damn, its going to take me a year to loose 5 lbs! hah. so wish me luck…

I’m starting with 14 hr fasts (instead of the 16:8). I’m just a tad nervous about all this im reading/hearing about how most women on IF are experiencing metabolic damage, and weight gain :/
If you have any info on this, i’d love to see!
    Thanks!

    -B.

    Hi Brezi and welcome:

Here is a clinical study of young women on 5:2. No bad results were discovered. You are hearing rumors, not facts. All bodies are different, so anything is possible, but if you are in the majority, you can do 5:2 without worry. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3017674/

Here are some tips for those just starting 5:2: https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!
