  • Hi guys! I’m from the US, and this is my first fast day. So far (I haven’t eaten in a little over 12 hr) I only had coffee.

Just looking for support and want to know what meals you guys are taking in on fast and non fast days.
I’ve determined that on F days I’ll do strength training and Pilates. I’m getting back to running so I’m not back to my fighting form yet.

    Thanks!

Hi el3sha im from uk and now starting 5:2 too! Looking for support also 😀 I am using a fitbit and myfitnesspal to track calories and activity to hopefully keep me on track. I have a 3 month old so exercise is normally creative e.g. dancing around the house!!!

I am on a FD today and have had high protein dry cereal, a plum and a small pot of actimel for breaky/lunch. This early evening i plan on having an egg salad as im vege and then using leftover cals for a top up cuppa soup, tea and chewing gum throughout the day. Trying to concentrate on protein and fruit/vege! What are your fd meal plans?

Avoid sugar at ALL costs. Read labels carefully, you will be amazed at the amount of sugar food companies put into processed food. There is a very good reason they do this, they know sugar is addictive. Avoid simple carbs like pasta, bread, rice, potatoes on fast days and even on non fast days treat these staples as sometimes treats. For you fast days have protein (tuna, fish, chicken) and fat (high fat low sugar yogurt, avocado)and lots of green bulky vegetables or salad. It will keep you satiated for a long time.

Personally I would limit fruit, stick to the berry type fruits as they have less sugar content. Never have fruit juice, all the fibre has been taken out, its just sugar water. Always have whole fruit, never dried fruits.

Good luck with it, it works. Lost 44 pounds in 12 months. Now doing 6:1 maintenance.

Wow bigbooty well done you! Great tips will keep them in mind 😀
