  • Yep hi all I am another newbie started today.
I think I must be a masochist I have started with a fast day,
now going bad at the moment, but this is my dangerous time
of the day. This is when the biscuits come out, I think it is
probably linked to blood sugars…or in my case piggishness…lol

I agree with you there miss fire about needing biccies!! My problem is that I love food and have a naughty cupboard that my fiancė fill with “goodies”!! He works away during the week so I do 5:2 alone on Mon & Thursday. I’m sitting here stomach rumbling although I ate brek and lunch with 200 calories soup n 99 calorie choc desert in the fridge for eating later! I tell myself tomorrow will soon be here to eat normally!! Good luck

    Hi miss fire and welcome

Well done for recognising your ‘dangerous time of day’. This awareness means it doesn’t have to ambush you. I agree with MRSBLH – ‘you can have it tomorrow’.

If/when you wake up tomorrow, after a successful fast today, you’ll feel more like a star than a masochist 🙂

Give 5:2 a month or two – see that as your induction phase. You might well learn how to structure your fast days to cut down on temptation moments, in the best way for yourself. Fro instance, Mrsblh says she has brekkie and supper. I find it best to eat one meal sometime between 3.00 and 5.00. I subtract the calories I need for 3/4 cups of tea with milk; then eat the balance in one meal.

Am sure you’ll feel like an old timer in no time at all. Best of luck to you.
