  • Hi all,

I’ve known about and tried the 5:2 before. I saw the Eat, fast and live longer program on Horizon when it was first aired and was enthralled. I have just purchased the book but am yet to read it.

I really enjoy going to the gym and I’m fairly serious about resistance training. With this in mind I found it hard to stick to 5:2 and maintain fuel for my workouts on the fast days. But, at 45 years of age, even my commitment to the gym hasn’t stopped middle age spread and poor blood test results.

So I am week 2 into 5:2 and today is day one of the fast. I have restructured my gym work-out to fit in with fasting days and I’m determined to stick at it for good.

Look forward to reading other people’s journeys.

hi Jaydee and welcome to the forum!!

wishing all the best on your journey 🙂

Hi Jaide it may pay your to read the Fast exercise book–it puts a whole new perspective on how to work out most effectively. May be the answer to that middle age spread.
