  • Found about the 5:2 plan from an aussie online friend on mfp. Just dowloaded the book and gonna read it while on vacation this weekend. Will be returning tuesday so starting wed. I only have 2 pounds to lose, but doing it with my husband who has around 20 pounds to lose, has belly fat, high blood pressure of which he is in meds for and type 2 diabetes, hoping this journey life change will be beneficial for us both. Very excited to get started 🙂

    For your husband, intermittent fasting is being used to totally reverse type 2 and there are people on this forum that can confirm its effectiveness. Here is some info – the first couple are just success stories, the third is an outline and the fourth is a presentation to doctors. You don’t need to buy anything – even a book!

    Thanks for all the great info ! Wish i knew before i purchased the book, but at least it will give me something to read on the plane. I am really hopeful this will help my hubby and he is very committed to trying it , regular diet and exercise worked fir him over the past couple of weeks losing around 10 pounds but he has plateaued now with 20 more to go. Thanks again 🙂
