  • Hi, I’m Abigail and I am just starting on this new journey mainly for weight control. My weight fluctuates around the 11stone mark which makes my BMI overweight and I want to get my weight under control without too much effort in my day to day life. I just got engaged and I am hoping to loose some weight for our engagement party (in one month) and be at my ideal weight for our wedding (no date set!!!). Found some old photos of myself weighing 9stone7 on a beach from 5 years ago and want to make that my goal. I plan on fasting on Monday and Thursday but this week I did yesterday and also plan to do Tuesday and Thursday to get it kick started. Wish me luck on my second fast day tomorrow!

    Hi Abigail!

I too am a new starter and finished my first fasting day yesterday and will be doing 4:3 for the first few weeks to kick start it all.

I have no wonderful celebration like yours (Congrats!!) but a big family holiday in December which i am hoping to get down to the lowest i’ve been before. I have lost 2 dress sizes to a 14 in the last 2 months by just exercising but was disappointed to find i was still at my original weight of 14st putting me as overweight so i need to shift the pounds in order to see the difference of the muscle i must of gained! At the moment i cant see the muscle through the fat!

Had greats success on this diet about 2 years ago shifting 2stone and was considerably healthier for it… I’m no expert but if you have any questions i’ll try and answer!

    Good Luck!!

Hi Abigail and Dan24, I am also doing Monday and Thursdays and have been following the Fast Diet since April of this year. I found the fast days really difficult at the outset but now they are fairly simple. What I have noticed really helps is to get a good night of sleep the night before a fast day; this will strengthen your resolve to push through the day.

Good luck to the both of you in getting to your goals.

Thank you, I have been having 150 cals at breakfast, 150 at lunch and 200 at dinner today, I’m struggling through this part of the day, fine til lunch time but my body is used to lots of food in the evening so this is my hard time of day. Going to distract myself by walking to my sisters house later and coming home and having an early night. Thanks for the advice, first time I have tried this I was the ultimate sceptic as I always believed that skipping meals was bad for me and even gave my sister a lecturing when she said she had done diet in the past but done so much reading on it I am a lot more comfortable trying it now. Mind over matter, and I am looking forward to eating tomorrow!
