My 3rd Fast Day

  • Hello from sunny Florida. I’ve been exercising and counting calories for four years and have lost 22 lbs. Yes I am a slow loser. In addition to the health benefits I am hopeful this will help with weight loss.

    I find it’s hard to stop counting and “dieting” on the feed days. Last week I didn’t eat enough evidently and suffered from that.

    Welcome to the club! I’m in a similar situation, I have my 3rd fast day tomorrow, I’ve been calorie counting and exercising for nearly 2 years and have lost 49lbs, but I seem to have plateaued, so I decided that the 5:2 may get my weight loss on track again in addition to the health benefits.

    However, I’m still counting calories on non fast days as I’m scared of going over my TDEE, should I just not count and see what happens? I don’t want to start gaining weight.

    Perhaps we should start a thread for compulsive calorie counters.
