  • Day 26 – Rural Nebraska, USA – Nfd

On my phone, so a short post. My back got so bad I had to go to the dr on Saturday morning. After an x-ray to ensure there was no cancer or other ugly cause, and a test for a UTI, I’m on all sorts of strong meds to deal with the pain, and have a 5-10 lb limit. Perhaps it was the hour of picking up sticks on Thursday so DH could mow? Who knows.

I made some excellent choices for brunch yesterday, and lost the plot yesterday evening. Today, I’ll focus on non-negotiable and showing up today for the person I want to be tomorrow– nice quote, @bert1802.

Some friends came by on Saturday and packed our antique china with incredible skill and care; it’s a relief to have that done. And yesterday morning DH didn’t preach/lead a service, and I didn’t play organ. The first of many, and was fun to be in the pew, side by side. 🥰 We’ll both start missing it soon, but for now, we’re content.

Okay, time to get at it, a slow job given my weight limitations.

    Have a grand one, everyone!

    Day 27 UK f800

Surely I’m not the first , any way putting that long weekend behind me aiming to get at least a couple of good days in , travelling up north very early Thursday

Oh dear @stitchincarol Hope it improves soon

    Pocket List Day 27 🤩

Day 27 – Rural Nebraska, USA – NFD

Wow, you’re right, @brightonbelle, where is everyone?

My back is getting better, but I’m thankful to have pills to help. The aggravating thing is that my weight is shooting up despite eating reasonably, but I’m guessing that’s the prednisone, and I’ll drop just as quickly after I take my last pair tomorrow. 🤞

    Has someone volunteered for June?

I’ll keep an eye out for further posts!

    Day 27……. Florida…….CD

Yesterday was an FD but a bit disappointed because I ended up at about 750 calories. I know that I at least stayed under the 800 calories. Its not what I wanted.
Today although a NFD, I am going to try to control it a bit. Well, at least try!

Well, this is short and sweet as I am a bit behind today because I just have no motivation but it I don’t do something, I’ll be working until the cows come home.

    Have a great day!

    Day 27 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD

    Quick check-in for accountability!

    @bert1802 – don’t be so tough on yourself; 750 cals – that’s a win! 🎯

@stitchincarol – just what you didn’t need; back pain in the middle of your move?! But, good to hear it’s getting better 🤗

Weather for ducks here, cold & wet. But another hot day on its way. No wonder everyone is coughing & sneezing 🤧

    Pocket List Day 27 🤩
    @brightonbelle FD800

Day 27 NE England IF 16:8

Finally, a couple of successful days of intermittent fasting. Still weighing more than the start of the month, but still a few days to go!🤔

Cold and wet here too today, but the gardens need some rain. My chilli plants are looking good so I’m hopeful of a good crop this year.

    Day 28 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD

    Busy busy… 🕺

    Happy Hump Day! 🐫

    Pocket List – Day 28 🥕
    @anicecupoftea

Day 28 country west Australia NFD
A few unexpected days away and now days with my DH going round and round the paddock with the airseeder and me making food to keep the man moving !!
A quick trip to the city ( Perth) tomorrow and then the ling weekend looking after some grandchildren .
As with many here – life is busy !!
Not making the best food choices when always on the run but planning for FD tomorrow with much resolve. And resolved to eat as well as possible tonight- going out to dinner and the menu at the local restaurant is pretty limited….. truckies love it because there is a lot of fried food in their front Bain Maries.
Although to be fair they are making a lot more takeaway salads, healthy wraps, fruit etc.
Will I have the fish and chips (Fried) or the chicken parmi…..??
@stitchincarol, I am sorry to hear about your back. Does a heat or cold pack help? Stretches?
I conduct a pilates class every week and often have to tweak it due to the various injuries people turn up with. 😊
@iona72, well done on the successful fasting days.😇 I m still amazed at how little 500 calories is. I can’t quite come at black tea or coffee so have to limit these drinks on a FD.🥲
@funshipfreddie, how are the coasters progressing ? Apologies if you have already told us but I have not been on my computer for a few days due to seeding on the farm.
I was feeling unbelievably proud of myself for solving Wordle in 2 attempts for 2 days in a row, but then today it took me the full 6 tries!!😲
And shame on you ,whoever mentioned Waffle!!!!! 😱😱
I have become quite addicted to the game and have spent far too long in the morning before I get out of bed trying to solve it !!! Have had to stop and limit myself to a few games ONLY at the weekend.
@bert1802, 750 calories is still. very good result as @funshipfreddie said. Well done.
Off to walk the dog before it gets completely dark.
    Happy Humpyay.

    Day 29 NZ FD 68.8kg🔻 🌋🏃🏼‍♀️

I’ve been so busy entertaining and wining and dining…
My cousin and family have been in Auckland for their daughter’s graduation as an art therapist. She stayed with me during the MA programme which took a bit of stress off studying. She has a BFA but the process of learning about the therapy side of the equation was huge… I used to say to her all you need is P for Pass and she received a First class Honours with Distinction!!! I told her that she had worked too hard!! I’m so proud of her of her!!
    @funshipfreddie I’m sure you’ve noticed the sheet!!
I have people for dinner tonight and tomorrow night as well…
I won a raffle at the dog park so have a basket of doggie treats to share out… I’m thinking of putting poached eggs on a slice of dog roll on the the menu tonight… Just kidding!!
Have to keep going… but will read everything and catch up in the weekend…
    Cheers!!
    Onward and Downward!!

    Day 29 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – FD

@merryapple – yes, I’ve been keeping an eye on the sheet 👀 You’ve been yoyoing a bit; but I’m sure I would too if I weighed myself every day. Looks like you’re definitely on track to end the month with a loss though. I was planning on B2B FDs for today & tomorrow, but just remembered I’ve got a lunch date tomorrow. So I’ll have to make Friday a good CD. Congrats to your cousin’s daughter! 🎓

@lilymartin – I’m drowning in coasters. I think I’ve made about 17 sets already. They’re all stunning, though I say so myself. I just hope they sell. Even if they do, I won’t be making a profit. I’ll be happy to recoup what I’ve paid for the supplies. Many of my neighbours are, well, frugal, to put it politely. I heard our complex manager had to start charging R20 per head for the Friday afternoon ‘coffee & cake’ gatherings, because the donations box wasn’t exactly filling up 😅 I got the Wordle in 4 today; but earlier in the week I got it on the last attempt twice in a row. DRONE & GRIFT.

I guess I could get the ball rolling for the June Challenge, if no-one else wants to do it? I think it’s about my turn now anyway.

    Day 29 UK NFD

On a train , busy couple of days ahead and I find it challenging to make sensible choices but I’ll give it a go

Thanks for volunteering for June @funshipfreddie I’ll only be around for the first 5 days then off on my summer hols to Sicily so important I get a few good days in

Hopefully I’ll be able to log in tomorrow , have a good one all

    Day 29….. Florida…… cd

Just a quick pop in as I e got a busy day ahead of me.
CD day as yesterday was a FD, I keep going over by 100-160 calories on my FD So, if that is going to continue to happen, I’m going to focus on CD rather than full NFD.

Hubby also said he’s going get my treadmill dusted and oiled so I can get back on that as well.

    Well I am off

    Day 29…..UK…..NFD

Back from my long weekend in France, where the patisseries did not disappoint….. looking to get back to my lower carb eating and a few FDs – feeling the bloat…

Good to have a break and get away, the weather was kind, we walked miles and miles so all good. Met with a friend which was lovely and feel energised from the change of scenery 🙂

Haven’t’ dared to see what number the scales will throw at me yet, will wait a few more days I think 😉

Hope you’re all doing well and finishing the month as you had hoped.

    Take care

    USA. Day 29 FD

Merryapple, that is wonderful about your daughter! 👍🏻. Also, that’s fun that you won the dog raffle and, no doubt, your dog will appreciate that, too! 🙂

FUNSHIPFREDDIE, thanks for volunteering for June. I will be there right with you!

BrightonBelle, I am sure you will enjoy your holidays in Sicily. Sicily sounds lovely.

Bert1802, sounds like you have a plan, with your husband right behind you.

ANiceCupOfTea,I wouldn’t be able to stay away from any treats in France, either. I went to school in Paris and loved everything. I even enjoyed learning to eat brains (calves brains, I think)! In any case, their pastries are to die for. I was young then, though, and eating everything did not put any weight on me. I wouldn’t want to try that now!

Hope everyone is having a lovely day. The rain finally stopped here, at least until tomorrow! 🤗

12,298 steps today, and sleeping at the new house. I’m be back eventually once things have calmed down.

    Day 30 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – CD 71.7 kg

@stitchincarol – +12,000 steps?! 💪 I hope the worst of your move is over & that it’s going smoothly.

A lovely, cool sunny day here, but the nights are getting colder. Time to dig out the duvet. Off to Grass Roof for brunch just now, but I’ll set up the June challenge either later today or first thing tomorrow. Happy Fri-yay!🍹

    Pocket List – Day 30 🫒
    @anicecupoftea
    @at FD800

    Day 30

I’m incredibly daunted by the chaos at the new house and clueless how to make these kitchen cupboards work for my stuff… typical moving woes, right? I forgot to bring the scales along, but think I’m still hovering up at 160, and that makes no sense since I’m not eating all that much, am working really hard, and am done now with the prednisone, but oh well, right? Life will be calm and back in order eventually!

    2nd Post – Day 30

@stitchincarol – hang in there! Life WILL be calm & back in order soon!🤗

Day 30…..UK…..NFD – was a FD but it went out of the window

I got hungry and forgot the “non-negotiable” – hey ho, will try again tomorrow.

hoping everyone has a good weekend ahead of them – I’ve dodged the scales this week since my trip away – working on my head for the start of June….

    Day 30 – Ireland – NFD 🚫 ✅ 🚶🏽‍♀️ 🌾

    Hello my friends!

It’s been another patchy month… holidays which were fabulous and then lots of work to be caught up on and life just seems very busy. 🙃

I’ve been focused food wise though and will be back to the fold in June.

Good to see some familiar names returning here as I scan through posts… and hoping to get caught up on the news from you all all over the world.

    Day 30 NE England NFD

Another pub lunch today but that’s all for the day, hoping the damage isn’t too bad. Coming down with something now, very scratchy throat and productive nose! 🤧 I’m off to bed soon, see you in June.

    Day 31 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD 71.5 kg

It’s a miracle! After a good FD followed by a very disciplined CD, I’m ending the month exactly as I started it 🎯

@anicecupoftea – 🤨 imagine – getting hungry on a FD? 😜 “l will try again tomorrow”. ‘Do, or do not. There is no try’. I’m sure you’ll do better in ‘Just Do It! ✔ June’!

@merryapple – 🤐 ..but you were doing so well..?!

@lilymartin – thank you for steering us through Motivated May, a month that’s turned out to be very challenging for most of us 💐

@jaifaim – welcome back, & see 👀 you next month!

    @iona72 – feel better soon! 🤗

The June Challenge has been posted – https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/just-do-it-%e2%9c%94-june-challenge/#post-361874

    Day 31- Ireland – NFD 🚫 ✅ 🚶🏽‍♀️ 🌾

    158 lbs ⬆️

Thanks @funshipfreddie it is good to be back 💕💕

Thank you @lilymartin for hosting May 😇 although I wasnt really present here I knew you were all here and checked in from time to time but life after the death of a beloved second parent really discombobulates you … well it has for me… working through everything both emotionally and practically and in a grand place really but it’s not easy.

Still who ever said life was easy?

I looked in the mirror this morning before I came out for coffee and a walk and I like what I see. A little more work needed to get back to my preferred zone but June and July will get me there. 💪🏻
    See you there!

    Day 31 UK NFD

Thanks for steering us @lilymartin 💐 I’ve had a yo yo month , but hey let’s move on

Have a good day all see you in June

    Day 31……Florida……NFD

I really wanted yesterday to be an FD, but I really didn’t try all that hard but what I did do was up my protein and upped my average steps by 3000. It wasn’t all what I was thinking but maybe it what I needed because after all wasn’t my thinking that got me into this.
    So…… new game plan

I’m going to stop getting on the scales daily!
Slowly increase my steps to 10,000 by end of June
Focus on increasing my protein while sticking to 1200 calories on NFD and doing a solid 2 FD. A 3rd FD possible depending on life
Increasing my fluid intake as well.

These steps are not impossible they are just small goals to keep myself from getting in own way.

@ccco…… I’ve been married for over 30 years to that husband of mine and he’s jumped in with both feet on every crazy messed up idea, I’ve ever thought of without a second thought To say he is supportive is an understatement….. I could not and would not have achieved everything have in my life without him.

    USA. Day 31. FD

Bert1802, I am very glad you have such a supportive husband.👍🏻

Thank you FUNSHIPFREDDIE, for picking up the mantle for June. See you all in June!

    Day 12 – Ireland – NFD 🚫 ✅ 🚶🏽‍♀️ 🌾

    156.5 lbs

Hi everyone, I am so conscious that I keep posting saying that I’m back and then disappear again… this has been my toughest year to date… adjusting to life without mum and the inevitable changes that brings (family dynamics and continuing the process clearing and saying farewell to the home place) have affected me more than I thought they would…

I’ve been knocked a little out of kilter and my habits have been affected. I’m still mindful of my food and exercise but posting and other habits which are good for me have dropped off but I am here today and hope to be here again tomorrow. 📝 thanks for being there and keeping the challenge going. As you say @funshipfreddie Just Do It ✔️.

I hope you are all well 💕
