  • I’m a 46 year old Scot living in NZ. I’m always been a bit chubby but since my hysterectomy in February I am putting on weight with every in breath! I’m now as heavy as I was after giving birth 18 years ago! We love entertaining and food is a huge part of our lives. I’m looking forward to incorporating a couple of fast days into my life and hopefully shed some of this middle age spread along with general aches and pains! Any words of wisdom are gratefully received!

    Makdilks…

It’s a great way of life the 5.2 but you have to put the effort in…your body gets used to how you eat, your tummy shrinks, your sweet tooth starts to disappear..your inches start to go down…

You need to change the way you eat..cut out snacks and grazing…cut carbs down, sugar out as much as possible, no low fat foods, eat full fat milk, cheese….it goes against what we have been told these last 50 years….fresh healthy food..

You could in 4 or 5 months easily shed 2 stone or 28 lbs…and a couple of dress sizes.

My hubby and me ..we fast Monday and Thursday with weigh in Friday am..we then have Friday off, a treat day, meal out, fish and chips, a glass of wine or two, a cake…but one day only, it’s something to look forward too.

    Good luck…it works..
