Hi Maggot and Sg2016,
I will be starting my first day tomorrow and would love to share my experiences with you. When I told my husband and 16 year young daughter about this they thought I had gone crazy, so I am reaching out for support 😉
Living in Rotterdam, but have studied in Brighton (ages ago)
Happy fasting!
Annemarie
Goodmorning everyone!
Thank you for the support!
Today is my first fasting day, so far so good (hahaha, just woke up!)
I am off to the sauna today, so I don’t expect much difficulty, as that always feels healthy.
I am not doing this to loose weight, I feel good in my body. I think the fasting will help in getting clearer in my mind and perhaps I will loose some ‘old’ patterns/habits that are still in my body. I want to help releasing them by giving my body a break.
So for me this fast diet is more of a mindfulness training.
Good luck to you all!
Greetings from sunny Rotterdam

Hi everyone, I am just beginning today. I have just eaten a hard boiled egg and two raw and unsalted almonds. Off to the supermarket for salads and avocado, on foot. I know I can do a one day 500cal fast day but dreading the weeks ahead. I would say ‘good luck’ to us all but luck isn’t the problem here, is it? So, good perseverance everyone!
Junk lover, good perseverance is definitely the right mantra !! I had a treat day today and had some bread . I found that day after a fd my cravings rear their ugly head. Maggot I think ur right that waiting to have ur meal later helps but I found it very stomach acid inducing , so junk lover, like u I started my fd day with an egg then soup for lunch and a 300 call dinner. Everything settled down stomach wise after that but I find that I am hungrier this way !!! Enjoy the tennis maggot x
Had a great day at the sauna, but had (and have) a headache all day (and I have been drinking lots of water). Had yoghurt with some small pieces of fruit in it and a few nuts…
When I am eating I appreciate every single bite, flavour and even the texture of the food. So that’s really nice.
But I am looking forward to tomorrow! That’s what I like about this way of fasting. Just one day, tomorrow morning: a croissant! Monday will be my second day.
Maggot, skipping breakfast was the easiest part for me too today… but dinner time now… I’ll have to start weeding or watching tennis, I guess 😉
Cath56: good luck with your knee and steady PERSEVERANCE for all of us!!
Hi Maggot,
I feel great. Today went really well. No headaches. Enjoyed the few nuts and yoghurt. I really appreciate food more and I feel healthy. Also (but that could be wishful thinking) it seems I am clearer in my mind..
I wonder what the future will bring!
Good luck and happy for you that you lost so much weight already!

Hello everyone! My partner and I started the FD last week and yesterday completed our 3rd fast day. We both want to lose some weight and gain the other health benefits that come from the FD. So far I’ve found the fast days quite easy and seem to have more energy on those days. I’ve also found that I’m eating less and more healthily on the non-fast days. Early days yet but I’m pleased with how its going so far.
Anyway, nice to meet you all and I look forward to being part of the same journey!
Hi everyone
I started yesterday with my first fast. I am doing my second today as off to France tonight for the weekend. I have found it better to liquid fast until evening meal as long as I am busy. I must say even though my tummy is rumbling occasionally, I feel so much more alert than if I was constantly eating (ex slimming world habits)
I have checked the calories for a Leon superfood salad and that will be my meal tonight at the Eurotunnel 😀
Hi Everyone, so Monday I saw the feature on This Morning with Michael Mosley, bought the book, have read it through and today was my first fast day!
Not feeling too bad, quite surprised I’m not grumpy and thinking about what’s in the cupboards (can’t get rid of it as have husband and two teen boys to feed)
As they say, I think it’s the thought that tomorrow will be a normal food day (without going mad) and it doesn’t feel depressing like other low cal diets I’ve done that just went on day after miserable day!
Next Fast day will be Friday to get my two in before the weekend, but feeling determined so long may it continue 🙂
