I rarely post anything, but thought I’d share my latest results from my physical. First a bit of background, about a year and half ago at my previous physical, my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic and recommended that I begin taking medication for high cholesterol. I weighed 192 pounds and bp was high, but not so high that I needed meds…yet. I decided that I was not going that easy route of medication. The following week I began 5:2 with Monday/Thursday fast days and upped my exercise routine. Last week I went for my yearly physical. My weight: 158. My cholesterol down 32 points, triglycerides down 161(!!), HDL (good cholesterol) up 25, LDL (the bad) down 25, VLDL down 32. Doctor recommendation? Just keep doing what I’m doing. 🙂
Hope this is encouraging for anyone struggling thru a fast day.
