  • I have a number of food allergies and make a lot of my own food. How can I get a accurate calorie count and GI on my recipes?

Hi – I use the free myfitnesspal website to count calories. Where you have your own recipe, navigate to the recipes page and click on <add recipe manually>. I can’t remember exactly how I did it as I entered them a while ago, but it was easy, and now the recipes pop up under the names I gave them such as ‘my home-made muesli’ in the portions I selected to work for me. However, I don’t know how you can calculate the GI for your own recipes.

    I use this website.

Maybe not all you want but a fair starting point I think.
