Introduction / My first fast day

    Thought I would introduce myself after having completed my first 5:2 fast day yesterday.

    To my surprise it went very well! I had just the one meal at 6:30pm which consisted of weetabix and a muller rice. Probably not the most nutritious choice but I really enjoy both so thought it would help motivate me. My water consumption was much higher than usual at about 2.5L throughout the day. I also drank 6 cups of tea with a 12ml pot of semi-skimmed milk and didn’t even forget to count them!

    Waking up this morning was much easier than normal and I didn’t feel the need to gorge on whatever I could lay my hands on. Today is my girlfriends mom’s birthday so we are off out for a meal but I want to keep the calories down even though it’s a ‘feast’ day.

    This may sound bizarre but I actually would quite like to be fasting today as well. Obviously I won’t as this would be a dangerous route to go down but it made me feel really good not constantly being full of food as I’ve never gone without Breakfast and Lunch before.

    Hopefully this is the start of a new way of life which I can maintain. I will try to check in again after my fast day tomorrow.

    I used to dread fasting. Now I look forward to it. I have been doing it for 2 months now. !4 pounds down.

    I had my first fast day yesterday and I agree jon124 I felt great this morning and loved not feeling full and sluggish. I am going to do it again tomorrow and as for today i ate a sandwich for lunch and felt full! Pleeeeeease let this be the new me 🙂
