Starting 5:2 today. Joined Slimming World at 10 st 1lb and gained 12 lbs in a month. Free food lists don’t work for me – I just go crazy 🙂 Have calorie counted and lost 6 lbs in my first week though a lot of this is water – I m a horror for water retention and have prescribed diuretics for it. So I m mostly ok at 1000 cals – sometimes I did 900 – but then I have days when I go nuts – tho the damage still only racked up about 2000 cals. Have decided to give 5 2 a whirl – my TDEE is 1500 cals but I m aiming for 1000 on food days, giving me 500 cals in my pocket if I feel the need 🙂 500 for my fast days so wish me luck. I need to lose a stone to take me down to 9 st 7 lbs ish – ideally 9 st 4lbs but I won t be too ambitious at age 54 🙂 I m on combined HRT for seven years now but middle age spread is definitely not a myth 🙂 Working from home online I m sedentary for the exercise groups so hoping the 5 2 is do able for me. Am really enjoying reading all the posts on here – hope to add some low cal meals etc of my own when I get a moment – have devised some yummies while calorie counting 🙂 amx 🙂
