I have been on the diet for a few months without a struggle, but a really bad cold has left me unusually hungry and I have twice strayed well over my calorie limit. Any suggestions?

I guess I’d suggest making a big pot of broth-based soup with lots of veggies and let yourself pig out on that. Or make sure most of your calories are protein. And, drink lots of water and tea.
Or, cut yourself a break while you’re not feeling well. I know that when I have a cold, orange juice makes me feel immediately better, but I’d normally never have it on a fast day.
