  • Hi this is the first day of my chance to change. Last year was a roller coaster ride of emotions which has lead to today. No more putting off the inevitable by shovelling a biscuit or packet of crisp with the excuse one more won’t hurt. Something sweet will make me happy because. I KNOW IT WONT. I also know it didn’t go on over night so I’m under no illusion this is a quick fix. This time I’m hoping I can last longer than a week or two.
Day one….so far so good. I’ve decided to split my allowance into two meals. A tasty tin of chickpea spinach soup 204 cals. And dinner tinned tuna and tinned sweetcorn.
I’m not a fan of scales so clothing will be my guide and a bathroom midriff selfish eurgh just for visual reference.
    Here goes…

    Hey Shellplen!:)
I wanted to get in shape to. I did start a few weeks ago and getting the results already. It is very important that you watch what you eat, how you exercise and how you supplement – this is what kind of gives me motivation. About eating…the book of this site can be a good guide. What I do is that I eat carbs for breakfast and mostly proteins over the day. Dinner is always without carbs. About exercising…I do a daily workout activity…either running/active dancing (class)/gym + yoga/situps and other exercises. About supplements…with shaping your body it is very important to give your muscles enough food to recover after the training, of course we are talking about natural protein here! 🙂 Contact me for more info about anything at all! =)

Today is also my day 1. Have decided that Monday & Thursday are my 500 calorie fasting days. Have been reading online about this way of eating & know it’s the right one for me. I tried Atkins with a little success but was scared to continue due to I have had 2 heart attacks. This 5:2 diet will be so much healthier. Can’t wait to buy the book to learn more. Here’s to success & a long life…

That’s what I thought Woobaby99. I’ve done my own version of slimming world and lost weight but calorie counting every day was boring. As long as we get the meals right on fast days I think it should be fine. The meals I’ve had today have kept me quite full so I’m keeping a list. My go to for days I can’t be bothered. I’m sure it will kickstart making better choices subcontiously. Hubby is on a healthy eating kick. Jr’s cut back on processed food Sugar and white pasta/rice. More or less meat and veg diet with quite good results. Basically back to basics cooking.
