I did my first fast yesterday and it went great. I did 5/2 a couple of years back and found it tough but so far, so good.
I’m a 5ft7 female with TDEE 1800. If I eat around 1200-1300 calories on non fast days and 500 on fast days I will create a calorie deficit 5100. BUT if I had say cumulatively 1000-1500 calories over my TDEE over the course of a weekend with wine and a bit of chocolate my deficit would drop to between 4100-3600. Still a pound loss. What I’m wondering is if i actually unintentionally had slightly more over weekend and underestimated then my deficit might really be about 3000 would I potentially lose nothing because I’ve sabotaged all my good work? Is a deficit of 3500 the magic number?
I exercise for between 50 and 90 mins daily. Either moderate to v high intensity.
