Hi all,
I started 5:2 back in October and have so far lost a stone (14lbs). My progress was halted by me taking up a 7 week Christmas contract which was mainly 12 hour days on my feet for most of the day. I’ve been back on the wagon now for two weeks and am taking it more seriously than I did pre-Christmas. I had developed some truly awful habits; the worst of which included drinking a lot of wine – on a fast day too! No wonder my progress was so slow. I’ve got about a stone and a half to go and finally feel that I have the resolve to achieve the loss.
Ten years ago I qualified as a personal trainer and had my own mobile business. Life then rained an awful lot of poo on my family which forced me into giving up my fledgling business (my biggest regret) and taking up a more lucrative office based position. This I truly hated and sought solace in chocolate and wine; never a good idea! I was so down and stressed that I totally went off the gym and took interest in very little outside of my children’s activities. Although things improved for us a couple of years later, I was left with my weight gain as a hangover from our past problems. With renewed confidence and a much more positive outlook, I am planning to start the PT business again as soon as I’ve shifted this weight.
Any support here would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks and good luck everyone. This is a great diet (minus wine on a fast day!!)
Ali 🙂
