  • Hullo! I’m located in Perth, Western Australia, and would love to know if there are any other sandgroper fasters in here? It’s lovely seeing posts from the UK, US, Canada and all over the world; it’d be nice if there were some local Aussies too! Looking forward to hearing from you if there are. Thank you 🙂

I live north of the river. I have been on the fast diet for nearly 3 weeks and it is working I have lost 3.5kgs. I have planned to lose 12kgs in 12 weeks. The fasting days are not too bad but I do feel a bit light headed in the afternoon. The best part is I have not changed my diet the rest of the days. I fast on Monday and Thursday on those days I have about 200 Kal for breakfast then 400 kal meal for dinner.

Hi. I’ve just started. Well first fast on Monday. Am in Freo. Any others in here and still going?

Yes I’m kind of still going I am on a yoga retreat in Victoria with my family at present. I still fast onMonday and Thursday I have found that at Iwork in the afternoon I can’t remember wellin the afternoon but it helps with my focus on what I am doing. I have lost half the weight I planned I tend to eat too much in the evening meal on fasting days.

Hello I have just finished watchign two youtube docos and then found this site and I want to try this but still dont know much about it all so would love to here from others in Perth about the best way to go about it starting with which books I should purchase and read.. I am currently anable to exercise due to injury and have a ton of medication I am on for a heart attack 8 months ago and so far none of the medicos in my life GP, Cardiologist or Dietican have liked any of the “alternative approaches I have asked about e.g. banting, Highfat, low carb so again any insight or infomraiton would be gratefully accpeted and I am in the foothills of Perth.

Hi all you West Australians, there are quite a few of us Aussies over on the Southern Hemispherites thread, if you want to say hello. there are at least 2 of us who cannot exercise because of health conditions. We have both lost most of our weight and are now “normal” and shortly to be at goal weight. I have lost 19kgs, got off blood pressure medication and made other improvements in my health.

All I’ll say further, because I need to get to bed, is that 5:2 works, it works easily for most people, and many of us have made a decision to do it as a permanent way of life.

    Merry

Hi Merryme. Thanks and congrats on your stats. Amazing. Jealous!! Im going to give it a go. Will check out the southern hem thread. Thanks. Jb

So saw new cardioligist this week and told him of my plan to do this way of eating and he said that it was the most scientific of all and that he didnt think I would be able to get my cholestral or blood sugars where I needed too (he wants me to take statins) but that it will help me loose weight and he is prepared to wait and see how I do so had a full blood work up yesterday blood sugars, liver function vit d fasting blood sugar you name it they are testing it, due to a knee injury the physio said I cant start the exercise component for about 8 weeks but I am preparing myself mentally and clearing out teh cupboards and writing up my meal plans and hope to start properly next week once I have done a food shop
