Another newbie

  • Hello everyone — I’m a 65-year-old retired California college professor and my 70-year-old husband and I are on our first fast day today. I made a list of possible things we could have today — I’m about to have some cottage cheese and apricots in a minute, maybe miso soup for lunch, and I’m makig a Thai prawn stir fry for dinner.

    So far so good! We both have a long way to go. But I’ve heard so many things about this way of eating that I’m willing to give it a try. Right now my stomach is growling (empty tummy + coffee = growling) so maybe I’ll get going on those apricots.

    Any advice gratefully accepted.

    Thanks very much. I just enjoyed my miso soup for lunch — with the addition of some bok choi and green onions, it was very tasty. Will report on the prawn dinner!
