An accidental fast day

  • So, I had a trial day last Monday just to see, intending to have 2 weeks in early December when back from holiday, then start properly and in earnest in mid-January when back from the next holiday.
    Last Monday was a bit of a breeze to my surprise. Started reading the book yesterday on the kindle and fascinated to see some of the things I had experienced set out there (such as not really having that much of an appetite the following day).
    Realised today that I was accidentally fasting, plain lime soda all day long, one orange, then a trip to the local vegan/rawfoods cafe for supper, changing my mind when we arrived and plonking for a tuna salad elsewhere with one small baked potato out of the tandoor.
    So, a novice even manages it on holiday………
    I will have another day next Monday then get into the proper swing of beginning 5:2 routine during my almost 3 weeks back in London.

    Why not carry on then? And why put off until tomorrow what you can start today?! Or something to that effect! Basically… if you have found it this easy why not just carry on through and inbetween your holidays, just fit in a fast day where you can. You’ll give yourself a head start! And you’ll regret not having started when you could when you’re in the swing of it and the pounds are falling off!
