  • I have been dieting for many years now, at the age of 47 I have found it much harder to lose weight and have tried many diets in the past where I have initially lost weight, but cannot seem to get below 10 stone and stay there. At a height of 5′ 3″ I would like to weigh between 9 and 9and a half stone and stay there. I find that I carry weight around my middle and belly, love handles and this is where the weight never seems to go from leaving me very frustrated. I thought I would give this diet a go and hope it aids me to achieve the weight loss and body I desire. On a health note, I have a very good cholesterol score and very good blood pressure, so apart from the visible weight I am fairly healthy.
I started this diet last Monday (which I used as a fast day), I also had another fast day on Thursday, and to be honest I haven’t found these days too hard.
I weighed myself yesterday (a week into the diet) and have lost one pound, which is not a lot but it’s a loss and if I can do that every week over the next few months I should achieve my goal and more hopefully.

hi King66 and welcome to the forum!!

I am the same height and age as you, older by 1 year lol, am 48 🙂
one lb is 1 lb so any loss is good, and as its only been a week, that’s already a good start and quite average on this way of eating, so well done!!

no doubt you will achieve your goal, give it time… good luck and happy fasting, let us know how you get on! 🙂
