Hi everyone! I’m only doing 1 fastday per week, because I’m very active and have always had a fast metabolism, which means that I’m really hungry most of the time anyway. And that makes 2 fastdays per week feel overly difficult. Plus, I wasn’t overweight to start with, I just wanted to slim down and hopefully get some of the health-benefits from fasting! I get stomach cramps, and sometimes have trouble sleeping. But 1 fastday per week has still worked really well! I’ve lost 5kg in these past 7 months, and my BMI is down from 22.1 to 20.6.
People around me thinks that fasting is “crazy”, “unhealthy” and “extreme” but I hope that will change over time. That they’ll learn and realize what’s really extreme: The fast-food, eat-all, huge portions-mindset of todays society!
I work as a registered nurse in Sweden, and try to give people healthy advice about food. But it is an uphill struggle.
