  • Hello I’m new here and also have just finished my second week of fasting. Found this week very easy – almost feels normal! Have to say I don’t feel any lighter yet though!

Can anyone help me, i did my first fast day on Monday and I felt great for it. I jumped on the scales today and i’m heavier than saturday. I have been eating within my TDEE yesterday and today and choosing ‘healthy alternatives’ and recording it on my fitness pal.

Feeling really disheartened s I’m so scared to fast tomorrow in fear that I will end up overall gaining weight from this process when before christmas i was able to maintain my weight by walking and keeping within 1500 calories a day ( just can’t walk at the moment as I have hurt my back ).

I’m 68.8KG and was 67KG last week, feeling a little disheartened.

    Hi Sar:

    I warned you. . .

Here are some tips that might help (again) – you might read the basic ‘Warnings’, followed by the ‘Really’ post: https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!

    Hi sumcoeluv

I’m sorry but ‘I warned you’ doesn’t seem very constructive.

I have read through all of those articles, I’m following what they are instructing to do and yet I have gained weight.

I reached Out on this forum for really some support because I had gained weight but I feel totally shot down when I was just seeking experience. I felt the comments above were really constructive but to say you warned me, just makes me feel even worse right kid as in I won’t be able to do this.

    Hi Sar:

Well, if you read the ‘Warnings’ post, you would know that you might gain weight even if you are doing ‘everything right’. And you would know why you gained weight. And you would know that all you have to do is to continue doing everything right, and you will be just fine.

    Sorry to have bothered you.

    Good Luck!
