2 consecutive days

  • Hi, I’ve been doing the 5:2 for 3 weeks now and so far enjoyed it!. my main problem is that when I start eating I find it hard to stop so when I am on fast days its easy because I find I don’t think about food! I was wondering if its ok to fast two days consecutively or is it better to leave a gap?

    I have started doing 4:3, I try to keep to around 350 calories on my fast days to allow plenty of room for error but on one of my 3 fast days I eat no food at all, just lots of water and a mug of bovril in the evening.
    To answer your question I follow one of my fast days with a no food day. So yes it is ok, and it works well for me. You can do what you want, that is the great thing about this way of life, it is so flexible.
