  • I’m a busy mum & “almost step mum” to 2 teenagers (mine) and an 8 year old (my fiancés) Lost 2 1/2 stones on 5:2 before but fell off the wagon when my dad became ill last year . He sadly died 2 weeks later then my mum also passed away just a few weeks after that ( they were both remarried but still good friends ) . Following that I’ve been very inactive due to 2 long absences from work ( stress & migraines now a hand injury 😫) . I’m a nurse so usually on my feet a lot . I’m hoping to get back to work very soon but started back on 5:2 last week and feeling very motivated!! I’m in Scotland age 46 . Would love a 5:2 buddy if anyone is looking – I’m 5 ft 4 and want to lose 2 stone 7lb !!

    I lost a lot of weight on another diet recently, but circumstance has made me put a chunk back on. I can’t get back into that diet again, so having heard of this fasting diet before, I thought I’d give it a go. I’m 52 and have around 3st to lose.
    I live in Norfolk. Currently sitting at my desk tucking into a rather tasty HM veg soup, carrot awaiting! Oh, and to add to the ‘fun’ I’m a vegetarian trying very hard to be vegan!
    Let’s help each other out!

    How about two buddies? I could sure use some support also.

    I’m female, single Mom, 5’4, almost 40. I would like to lose 20lbs (not sure what that translates to in ‘stones’ 🙂

    Hi great ! Thank you both of you ! I’m having a fasting day here . Looking forward to dinner . Just had lots of water and a coffee so far . Just worked it out and it’s 35 lbs 😫 Will be trying to fast Mondays and Thursdays .

    I’ve just nearly completed my first ever day…probably had 600 not 500 but with my weight it’s not much over…I should be better organised next time…
    I’m early 50s, in Chester, got 30kg to lose…

    I managed a successful fasting day on Thursday, 500 calories, which was HM veg soup, twice, total 300 calories, which actually seemed high for basically 250g of frozen veg and three green oxo, but ok. I then had a a banana, a carrot an apple and 50 cals of low fat cheese in my dinner soup because I had them to use!

    I spent most of the day planning my meals for Friday, but I didn’t find it hard on the whole. I’m going to use Tuesdays and Thursdays as fasting days, but I need to make sure I plan some cereal for breakfast the next day, or I will raid the office ‘biscuit drawer’!

    Fingers crossed. How’s everyone else doing?

    Hi , just starting my 3rd week so my 5th fast ( back on bandwagon) . Weighed on this morning and only down 1/4 pound this week ! But 3 and 3/4 pounds in total in 2 completed weeks so at least moving in the right direction! Saving all my calories for dinner so sparkling water it is til then after my morning coffee . Stew for dinner . I’m doing Monday & Thursday this week . Rainyday what is HM soup ? It’s probably very obvious but my brain hasn’t quite woken up yet !
