    I’m new to 5:2 and would love a fasting buddy to help me out
    I’m 35 & female would love to buddy up with females in the UK any age group for help, advice and motivation

    I wish I could buddy with you but I’m in the US 🙁

    And how do you buddy up? I am 35 living in London, trying to shed the weight I gain since I’ve moved here.

    I saw the Horizon tv show and decided to get the book and give it a try.

    Hi I’m starting my fast diet tomorrow I done a four day fast diet last week and lost 5lbs….y boyfriend left today to travel around America for 3 weeks I want to lose a stone before he gets back…. I choose to do just the water diet not the 5.2 on my four day diet I just really wanted to see if it was difficult or if I became ill Otherwise i wouldn’t carry on … I did become a bit cranky so iv decided to do it while he is away. .. iv checked in with my doctor and have all the relevant vitamins supplements…. last week I felt so good like my body had rebooted itself my skin became very clear only real bad side is the bad breath ……. iv realised that my body didn’t become Hungary just craved certain things …. I felt like I had control over my health rather than the cookie jar controlling me

    I am also fasting Mondays and Thursdays, so far so good, not too much hunger and looking forward to seeing results.

    Jayne, good luck you are doing something really hard. Are you planning to do the 5:2 or 6:1 to maintain your weight afterwards?

    I’m in the UK too, 38, fasting Mondays and Wednesdays. I started this Monday so second fast day today, this is a return to the fast diet for me, I did it for a while last year, it was working just fine so I have no idea why I stopped!

    I’m in the UK too 🙂 I’m from Lancashire but work in Manchester.

    I’m fasting today .. but my official fast days when I get a few under my belt will be Monday/Thursday. I need a few to kick start myself first though, get used to it again.

    Hi I’ve just found this website and heard lots of good things about the 5:2 diet so want to give it a go. I’m 54 and in the UK – I’ll look around the site for more info. I think I’ll go for Mondays and Thursday too.

    I’m also in the UK, Watford in fact! I’m 34 and currently have two fasts under my belt. Next one is scheduled for tomorrow and although I cope quite well with the hunger, not looking forward to it. Once I’ve started the day though, sure I’ll be fine.

    I’m good at not eating for long periods of time, i.e. I generally don’t eat breakfast. So I’ve decided to just have an evening meal and nothing for breakfast and lunch. I do it while at work (office job working by myself, so no distractions and if I don’t bring food in, there’s nothing to eat!).

    Sounds like everyone is doing really good … I started on Monday with first fast day and didn’t really struggle. I’ve decided to do 4:3 as I’m going away in 8 weeks and wanted a kick start … Prob do 4:3 for a few wks and see how I get on

    Today is my second fast day so far so good haven’t been hungry at all … Normally would only eat one meal being lunch while at work and then pig out in the evenings on crisps and chocolate because I couldn’t be bothered cooking dinner

    Could the people who is back on the diet explain to me why they stopped, as I am thinking this will be a life change for me, I intend to do it for as long as I can at least the 6:1. But I would like to hear what makes you stop to see if I I can plan a good strategy.

    I feel that I loose weight and it goes well for a while and then I put on a lot of weight again, so I really need a life changing method.

    Any suggestions?

    I hadn’t been doing it for long but my strategy for sticking to it long term is that if I have a glass of hot water and. Slice of lemon in the mornings when I wake up I don’t feel hungry and don’t eat until 1pm. Then I see how the afternoon pans out. If I am hungry I have dinner, a dessert and a glass of wine. If not I make up my 500 kcals and have a really healthy dinner and turn it into a fast day. This way of working means no pressure. If I’m hungry I eat but because I don’t start till 1pm I still lose weight. Hope this helps. It’s working for me so far and I’m steadily losing.

    I’m starting 5:2 next week with FDK. Did the diet over a year ago but pregnancy meant stopping. Now….I’ve got baby weight (and what was already mine) to shed. I’m rubbish at sticking to diets and would like a buddy.

    Hi i am from wilmslow. I have started today. I fast on a monday and thought I would do a second day on tuesday. Can anyone tell me how to know what to eat on tuesday so I dont do more then 500 calories. Thanks

    New to this one! Tried so many others but heard good things about 5:2!
    Need support and guidance as I’m not that sure how to start.
    Are strict fast days important? Would find it easier to fast on work days (work 12 hour shifts on different days)
