  • Is it safe to use instead of oils or fats when cooking. One site that I found said it was the worse of the Transfats! I’ve also read it is good for people that live in areas where coconuts grow. I went into one of the raw food stores and was told it was extremely healthy and far better than butter or margarine. We used to use soja butter but that contains soja and palm oil.

    Hi Ann and welcome:

Coconut oil is a saturated fat, not a transfat. It is one of the best oils to eat, right there with olive oil and lard.

    Good Luck!

    Lard???????????? Seriously?

    Hi Applepie:

I’ve been walking around all afternoon pondering lard!!

What is the difference between lard and dripping btw?

    Hi Milena:

    Lard is simply pig fat.

Hmmmm, so how do you explain all the lard on my hips??? lol!

    Hi milena:

Obviously, you have no lard on your hips. This should make you happy!

    One day!
