  • Hi fellow fasters,

Day one in the family we both have sore heads and empty tummies. The fridge is off limits and I was tempted to raid the biscuit tin when she went to bed!

Held firm and didn’t succumb to the cravings how sad after one day.

We are in bed discussing our favourite meals for tomorrow night because we cannot sleep!!!

Does it get easier? in 48 hrs we fast again deep joy.

The first day is the worst, it does get easier you will be amazed. There will still be tough days but generally you do find you can fast. It’s finding what works for you and that’s just trial and error. Keeping busy helps.

Welcome and good luck – I’ve just completed week 11 and have lost about 16 pounds – my progress and general ramblings are in a blog – feel free to read – it may give some ideas.

Yes!! It gets so much easier – you just have to get through the first few FDs – I am now on week 11 or so and I find Fasts so much better – I wouldn’t say easy but much more doable!!

Good luck! Its so worth the battle and enjoy your non fast days – food tastes SOOOOO good!

Thank you for your words of encouragement. After going to bed feeling headachey, nauseous and a bit shakey, I woke up feeling great! We’ve enjoyed our food today – although not over done it – and ready for fasting tomorrow. I need to be very organised on fasting days and need to know what I’m going to have an when. Also going to try skipping breakfast and saving calories for later in the day and start getting the water down me earlier in the day – that may help with the headaches. Will keep you posted!
