  • Hello! Is it ok to put a new post about advice here? Hope so! I have been fasting since April, and lost nearly 3/4 stone. Loving this wol, feeling beautiful and healthy but the most important thing is I have really got a routine going. HOWEVER, this Monday we get the keys for our new house, and we will have a crazy week moving furniture and boxes and probably not having access to much of a day of healthy food shopping and cooking if you get me. So I am thinking that, instead of putting myself and my family under pressure, I will go easy on my fast days next week, (Monday and Thursday) and instead eat only what I know are low calorie foods for the week, e.g. lots of salad, eggs, etc. (I am mostly vegeterian) Has anyone done this? I will be back on it in a week. Living in Spain and with a husband and two children to think about, I don’t think I can take those two days to concentrate of myself.

Hi Caboodles. Congratulations on the weight loss.
I think what you suggest is fine, and you shouldn’t worry about one week ‘off’. If you stay within your TDEE, the worst that should happen is you don’t lose weight that week. Intermittent fasting is pretty flexible, and you know you can lose weight doing it. It’s hardly as if you could undo all your hard work in the space of a week!
I appreciate you don’t want to put weight back on but, even if you did, you now have the tools to lose it again.
Good luck with the move. Be kind to yourself. And don’t forget to let us know how it goes!
