    I started the 5:2 diet today on a fasting day. I had an omelette for breakfast with smoked salmon and a prawn stir fry this eveing. I was wondering if I am able to have for example half of the stir fry at lunch time and then the other half in the evening as long as it doesn’t exceed 500 calories

    Hi,
    I’m new too and also on a fast day. I’d definitely say you could split your stir fry as it stays the same calories whenever you eat it, but i may be wrong!
