  • Hi,

    I’m Kate, 30 years old, 5ft8 and weigh 14st1lb.

I do a lot of sport and am reasonably fit but I never seem to be able to loose any weight! I’m also aware that weight around the belly is very bad news and that is where most of my excess weight sits. I’ve tried a number of dieting techniques, including the Harcombe diet, but i’ve never been able to stick to it for long.

So I spent the weekend with my cousin who explained the 5:2 diet, I’ve read the book and I’m compelled to try, especially because of all the scientific evidence behind the diet.

I know it is easiest for me to fast at work as I have lots to keep me occupied, however I am often under pressure and have to think on my feet for a lot of my day (this is often why I fail at diets because I feel like I need food to keep my brain functioning). I’m worried that fasting may cause me to get distracted.

Has anyone had any experience of this?

    Kate
