Just new to diet. If I need less than 2000 kcal to maintain my current weight should I quarter that value for fast days or stick to 500? Thanks

There is no magic associated with the number 500 cal. Its just a value that Michael Mosley thought most people could handle. In fact hes just upped it to 800 I suspect on the basis that most were struggling to stay at 500. If you can do 800 great, 500 or even zero go for it. Lots of people find it easier to do zero. Good luck.
