I’m not new to fasting or HIIT, but I really liked the videos Michael did to present the evidence to the public.
Two questions;
I can’t seem to find any reviews or discussion of the Fast Exercise book. Surely someone must have read it by now. It’s not available here in the US yet.
also, it seem that a plant based diet with adequate (low by modern standards) protein diet mat be more important than fasting in regulating IGF-1. Fontana and Longo both advocate a plant based diet. Michael found that for him the 5:2 plan lowered his IGF-1, but it apparently does not do this for all. Fontana has found that protein restriction is more effective at lowering IGF-1 than calorie restriction alone.
