Maintaining Target Weight

  • I started the 5:2 plan 30 months back, reached target weight of 145 lbs or 66 kg 24 mos. back. So far I have been able to maintain target (+ or – 1 kg) by continuing a 600 cal. day once or twice each week. My exercise routine is 30 minutes of weight machines at a fitness center 3 x’s/wk and walking 3-4 miles most days. I don’t do the 5:2 plan when traveling, which is a total of 6-8 weeks per year. (Male, age 77)

    Sounds really good John! Great that you’ve been able to maintain target over the 2 years since you first reached that goal! You underscore the value of making this a way of life and am looking forward to following in your footsteps of success! I guess you’ve seen the thread devoted to those on maintenance! I gain inspiration from reading posts there!
