  • I am starting the Fast Diet this weekend. I would normally be very skeptical about something like this, but my introduction to 5:2 was Michael’s documentary (which I saw on one the U.S. PBS stations). I was fascinated by the research and theories and ended up eager to learn more. That brought me here. Now I’m eager to give it a try.

I’ve worked as a pharmacy technician and I’m just finishing my training as an Occupation Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant. I love studying the human body and new ideas on health promotion and healing.

This should be interesting, to say the least!

    Hi novascott
    Welcome.

I too have just joined and fasted today.
I was scared to be hungry but I made sure I used lots of low cal foods..like celery ( 100 grams..8 cals!) etc in stir fries and huge salads along with smoothies made with frozen boysenberries and ice and water
Filled you up and it was brain freeze so took ages to drink, it was about 750 MLS!!
    Only used 100 grams fruit..again, 50 cals.

But good luck and it’s great that you understand the body.
    Please share any thoughts,
    Nicola in nz
