  • I am trying to get the gist of this website. Would this be a proper place to look for advice if I am eating 1 meal a day? I just read the new book, The Obesity Code and I have been practicing longer fasts after being inspired to get healthier. I tried 2 day fasts, but it is not enough for me, not even 16:8 was enough. I have upped my game to 22:2 in hopes of losing weight faster. I was only losing about .25 of a pound a week on 16:8…which would be good for a small amount of weight to lose, but I have a big journey.
    I don’t like to give out personal info, so that is why I didn’t, join the May group.
    I am trying to get the hang of the forum, so please excuse any idiot moves I may inadvertently make 😬.

    Hi PinkQueen, Welcome here!
    The best advice I can give is just keep looking through the active threads and see which one feels like home. There are quite a few threads that have turned into little communities. Jojo’s thread was set up for people who wanted to lose weight faster, so that might suit you. But in all of them there are people doing 5:2 in their own way, and then variations of it. But we can still share and support, and hopefully not be too judgemental to people finding their own way!

    My first day I tried starting jojo’s thread, overwhelming! But I was amazed at the sense of friendship that had formed from 1 thread! Okay,I guess I need to look and dig around, thanks a bunch πŸ™‚
