  • Hi all,

I hope you are all having a great evening, wherever you are and whoever you are.

I’m starting this diet (“permanent lifestyle change”, if I’m lucky) tomorrow and I’ll see how it goes.

In the last two years, I’ve basically phased out sugar, eaten low-carbish, stopped snacking between meals and generally been rather good. I also had a rather awful pregnancy when I couldn’t keep anything down except refined carbohydrates for months – sugary stuff, white bread and the like(oh irony!).

Now that my baby is five months old, I’d like to shift some of that post-pregnancy weight and get back on track.I’m really doing okay avoiding sugar and refined carbohydrates, I’m also doing fine with three meals a day and no snacking, but I’m rather too wobbly for my taste, so hopefully intermittent fasting can help me lose some weight (and wobble).

    Wish me luck!

    Hi Austrian and welcome:

    Here are some tips: https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!

    Thank you, simcoeluv!

I read a bit and there’s such a wealth of information. I really appreciated the link to Debra’s blog on maintaining her lower weight, a fascinating read, but makes me wonder whether I should bother at all – with such a small percentage of people able to keep their weight down. But hope springs eternal, I guess. 🙂
