Feeling shaky

  • I have just completed my first week and yes I have changed the whole way of eating on non fast days swapping bad food choices for healthy such as Weight Watchers favs or low calorie options I have found either in the 5 2 book or online. Today is day 7 and I am feeling “Shaky” I have eaten breakfast (2 egg omelette with cottage cheese and Smoked Salmon also a Banana and coffee. I am drinking plenty of water, and I feel its getting a tad better, but still shaky, any ideas?

    Island Cheer, it sounds as is your blood pressure might be getting a bit low. Try lying down and see if you soon feel normal, but wiggle your toes and fingers before getting up slowly, in case that makes you woozy. You might need some saltiness to help your blood pressure maintain itself. Miso soup or a similar broth or light soup may help. When you are drinking lots of water it can flush salts from your body.

    Don’t forget to check with your doctor if it gets worse, or doesn’t get better.

    Hi Isman and Cinque, thank you both for your helpful replies – I think you are both correct it was low blood pressure as its been so hot here couple the sweaty weather and drinking heaps of water I have flushed too much out of my body. Will be more mindful of what is going on. I have not had a repeat of the feeling so think I am back on track – thank you both 🙂
