Can I join the fasting forum too?

  • I have done the fasting diet too, mostly to give support to my husband, but since Christmas and new year I thought I would visit it again. I started on Jan 1st with fasting. I can’t be bothered working out calories so I simply don’t eat on a Monday or a Thursday. The rest of the days I eat well but small portions. I found the last time I did this that when you do eat you are never as hungry and I find my mind is sharper, clearer. Of course I get hunger pangs, those are the hardest. Good luck to all starting it.

    Hi Susi,

    After doing 5:2 the “Normal” way for a few months I tried 0 calorie fast days and found that not eating anything on fast days isn’t any more difficult for me than eating 600 calories. Glad I’m not the only one doing it that way.

    A fellow Scot! I too find no food easier than a little food. I cope on my fast days with black coffee and GALLONS of water! I’m just re-starting today.
