  • I started the 5/2 diet 8 weeks ago and decided to weigh myself ONLY on a monthly basis!
So, I have only had one weigh in, after the first month, and I lost 4lbs 6ozs which I thought was perfect!
Tomorrow, is my 2 month weigh in, so hoping for a reasonable result!
I must say, I find it easy and really am feeling the difference, particularly around the waist and hips!
    Till tomorrow then! How exciting!

Good luck loubbylou, I hope you have a great loss.

Thank you Symba! Will post results!

    Hi LoubbyLou,

I dont know how you resist those scales. I have trouble waiting a week let alone a full month. Monday morning will be my second weigh in. Feeling optimistic at the moment but we’re going out for a meal Saturday.

Good luck with you weigh in tomorrow.

Well guys! Thrilled! Another 3lbs, so that’s half a stone in total. I know it doesn’t sound much but I think that it’s good for my height etc. 5ft 8 and now 11st 1 and I think the BMI was 23.6 or near. I’ve lost a lot of that dangerous weight from around the middle.
Perky, I weigh myself monthly as I think it would be easy to get disappointed and I’ve firmly made up my mind that I’m in it for the long haul.. I was very impressed with Michael’s blood results etc, so figure that by three months, my results ie blood etc should be the equivalent.
I am managing to do the diet on the same food ALL the time – a banana for breakfast, banana for lunch and then half a can of Heinz baked beans on toast, with a few v low cal veg!
It really works for me as there is no palaver or fiddle about what to have! My husband just has an ordinary dinner!
Good luck to you Perky and Symba and keep posting those results!

Well done thats great. You must be feeling fantastic.
I find I’m doing something similar to you – I have boiled or poached egg for breakfast then a light dinner around 6pm. I usually have hunger pangs around 3pm but a cup of tea settles that. My partner is being a great support and is fasting with me. He doesn’t need to lose much weight but so far he’s lost the same as I have. Our next weigh in is Monday morning. I’ll let you know how we get on.
    Have a good weekend.
