Hi all. Am I the only one who finds eating nothing at all on a fast day easier than consuming low calories?
The food seems to trigger more hunger pangs.
I’m not tired/irritable/faint/headachy.
Ok to continue fasting like this?

I did this fasting lark last year and did what you do. Nothing wrong with it, as long as it is good for you. To my mind if I am fasting to allow my system time to recoup, what better than not feeding it at all? Anyway I am back on as of this week and had a great fasting day on Thurs filled with water, a cup of coffee and some milk before bed! Good luck and enjoy the feeling.
Vet272, the 500/600 kcal is the maximum you should eat on a fast day, there is no minimum one has to eat. If you are fine not eating at all then continue.
Regarding not feeling tired, irritable, faint or headachy: thanks for that. I have been the same and find this whole “I am so hangry” talk very annoying. Most of that is your mindset – if you expect to be angry and irritable, you will take offence at anything and everything. If you tell yourself you will be faint, you will feel faint. If you tell yourself you will have hunger pains than you will be afraid of a pain that does not exist.
And you will find fasting hard and scary when it is just imagination you are afraid of.
