  • Hi
New to site and diet. Can anyone tell me how many cals are in a medium apple.
What are best snacks for filling you up.
I have been eating breakfast. No lunch and then dinner. Perhaps a cup of tea. This has been using all my 500 cals.
    Thanks

Hi Couch potato and welcome to the forum.
According to MyFitnessPall (an app which can be downloaded to your phone) a medium apple is between 60 – 80 calories. Everyone’s idea of medium is different 🙂 so I would go for 80.
Fast days are much easier if you keep busy, drink plenty of water and plan your food. Celery is very low calorie, about 2 per stick, and I have read use more calories to digest than each stick contains.
Good luck with this way of life.

    Couch potato,

Sorry no snacks on a Fast Day……it’s better just putting it in your meals having a healthy meal as possible without the carbs…….with plenty of water and a few teas no sugar through the day. Think of the next day..it does get better…Good Luck.

I have found that a plate of veggies, e.g. brussel sprouts, asparagus, broccoli…fills you up very nicely and has hardly any calories. Otherwise, snacks will take away from your calorie allowance and I personally prefer one good meal in the evening.
    Stef.
