Hi, I’ve been doing 5:2 a few years now. Alls well except one problem, when I have breakfast on the day following fasting, within an hour or so I get unpleasant shaking, sweating and weakness symptoms. I usually have wholemeal toast with butter and Marmite. I’m female, 60 yrs and have never had any diabetic issues. Can anyone suggest what is going on here? Thanks!

My husband sometimes has that too. I think that the high carbs, after a day of no/low carbs, caused a sugar spike. Try breaking the Fast with more protein, and ease into the carbs later in the day.
