Hi, a bit trepedacious – I don’t know why, but feel Nervous about this first fasting day. Any tips from anyone would be so appreciated! HAVE weight to lose, and on a keto plateau. I am looking for the health benefits the 5:2 Fast diet provides.

Drink lots of water. If you have coffee keep having coffees. Avoid refined grain based carbs at all costs. Not sure what you mean by a keto plateau? If you do a true fast that makes you enter ketosis then there are huge health benefits. I have now gone 4 winters without catching a cold. Family have just all had their winter colds again, I have once again avoided it. The act a regular (true) fasting ensures your immune system is operating at its peak.
