Re: your mandolin. It is becoming clear that the problem here is you and not the mandolin. So it would be harsh indeed to make the mandolin leave home. But you clearly need to work on your relationship before there is a total breakdown of trust or someone/ something gets seriously hurt. Interesting that now you have been encouraged to talk about it, it transpires that although initially the mandolin appeared to be the abuser, it is actually a victim of your abuse ๐ (Hope your finger’s healing, obviously!)
Re: danger times for eating. For me, it’s more daytime than evening, and particularly mid afternoon when I’m working at home. When I’m in the office I’m fine, I take a packed lunch and stick to it. And at weekends I’m busy so it’s rarely a problem. But 2 – 3 pm when I’m sat at my computer… home alone… I’m not sure what it is, but it can be easier to get up frequently and get a handful of almonds from the cupboard than it is to sit and concentrate…
