  • @lorky35 LOL Queen of the backhand compliment. That reminds me of a chubby friend who told me that her husband was complaining about how skinny I am; Her Husband?!! Why in all that is good and right with this world is your husband discussing my size and why are you telling me?!! Maybe so you can feel good about yourself; needless to say she is not my “friend” anymore, positivity only- Next!!!
When I think about food, I actually drink a lot of water and chew some gum, sometimes I go to the cafeteria walk around and breathe in the smell of cooking food. It helps me for some reason.

    Day 5 Wales NFD

Just checking in. I had a good FD yesterday.

@dykask I enjoyed rolled oats and blueberries with greek yogurt and a handful of mixed nuts for breakfast this morning, I thought I ate a generous morning meal but not quite your belly buster!

@rainbowsmile I never think to use the downstairs toilet these days……damn Fitbit!!

@lorky35 when I feel the hunger dragon rumble on a FD I come onto this site, I must have read every thread over the past 12 months.

    Keep on keeping on everyone.

    USA Day 5 FD

Just checking in. Today is another FD 5:2 style, since yesterday I ate chocolate! I never do that but my daughter and her husband returned from their vacation in St. Lucia where they manufacture chocolate, so they brought me some. Of course, I just had to eat it! LOL No one every brings me food, so this is a unique situation and I am not worried about it. Good luck everyone! Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Day 5 Canada NFD

@fatfingers. Thanks for an interesting post. Totally agree with you!

    Day 5, UK, NFD

Its been a good day food wise, its turning into a CD, well under TDEE, unintentionally. I like that. This has happened few times lately so I’m starting to think that due to this WOE and fasting my body is adjusting to having less food generally. I hope so ๐Ÿ™‚

@basyjames I know how frustrating it is when you are without your phone/tablet/pc or internet! its like grrrrr! I hope it gets sorted out for you asap ๐Ÿค—

@bert1802 I like your theory about 5:2 and fasting, and I agree with it ๐Ÿ˜Ž

@linda329 I find it easier if I don’t eat food till late afternoon/evening on my FD, and than later maybe have an apple or something ๐Ÿ™‚

@lorky35 “Trying to feel sad for her” you made me laugh with that ๐Ÿ˜‚ , if I start thinking about food on my FD I usually go for a walk, or move in any way I can at that time, I find moving my body helps ๐Ÿ™‚

    @kaywesterman sending you a hug ๐Ÿค—

@ccco you are right not to worry about that chocolate, its not like you are eating it every day ๐Ÿ™‚

    Have a good day/evening everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Day 5 UK CD

Yesterday’s FD was the best I’ve had in ages apart from not drinking enough – no effort and nicely in c450 calories. Woke this morning feeling thin but still weighing the same as yesterday – 1lb up on 1 June! I think my body just isn’t ready for my Normal Weight Range (NWR) to slip under 11stone, so it keeps coming back up for reassurance ๐Ÿ˜€

Feeling thinner and suddenly more confident in my body despite not losing much in the way of inches or lbs in May. Definitely helped by actually doing my gentle adapted yoga routine on 4 consecutive days for the first time in ages – yay! That’s my June goal of daily yoga off to a good start.

I’m so determined to have better balance this month, and despite yesterday being a difficult day I think I’ve cracked it, in my headspace at least. Gently done some useful planning, prioritising and scheduling and while a bit behind I’ve got a chance to get ahead of deadlines for once! I need to be focused and sustained but that starts with good self-care.

Rather than breaking my fast with bread which served me so well last month (not!) I had an apple, then agreen salad with cottage cheese and hardboiled eggs. Supper of baked sweet potato with spinach, yogurt with cacao, honey and blueberries. What’s not to love? Off to get my act together!

    USA Day 5 NFD

My FD turned into a NFD, which is okay. Tomorrow will be a water FD!

    Day 5, Gozo, Malta, nfd

My fast day turned into a nfd.

It was my sons graduation with a reception afterwards. He got an excellent behavior certificate. Not everyone got this certificate. Iโ€™m a proud mum.

Onwards and downwards, good night everyone

Day 5 – SW WA USA – FD

Continuing in the FD mode. Yesterday a LFD and continuing until the Red Robin free teacher meal about 5 PM with a colleague. I’ll choose a hamburger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. I’ll plan to keep things between 500 & 800 calories.

@linda329 – I also usually keep the calories for the evening meal. On occasion I have a little something at lunch but that can sometimes turn into too much & not leaving much for supper. Some folks prefer breakfast or lunch as their main meal. Whatever works for you.

@emma1202 – if you were feeling weak etc maybe you were low on salt. Sometimes a cup of broth or bullion help remedy that at some point on a FD.

    Let’s keep doing this together!

    USA Day 5 NFD

Since today’s fast turned into a NFD, tomorrow I will be doing a 24 hour water fast. It has already begun and so far so good. At least today became a 16:8 day, although when I eat in that window, I feel like I am going to burst. I did notice that when I follow a day like this with a water fast, the fast turns out to be successful with no hunger. Here’s hoping for a day like that! Have a great evening everyone!

Nice big salad for my OMAD with some nut crackers. I am happy. Also got a good power walk of 15 minutes in today. Good for me on a FD!

    Day 6…NSW Australia…CD

Good morning everyone. Just checking in!

We have an expected top temp of 16’C today – currently 11’C and raining steadily. Sounds so nice on a tin roof! No sign of sunshine.

Feel like a lazy day today – may sort out some old clothes and make more cupboard space!

Enjoy whatever you are getting up to and bye for now!

    Day 6 – Japan – NFD 79.3kg

Came through a non-fast day and didn’t pick up any weight. That doesn’t happen to me very often. Weight is a fickle thing.

@missybear, for some reason the combination of oatmeal and blueberries is very filling to me. Without the blueberries I would probably be eating a few hundred more calories worth! The funny thing is that until a few months ago I didn’t really enjoy blueberries that much. My taste has changed.

    Day 6, Emden Germany, FD

forgot to post yesterday, heading for the Netherlands so I can make this a FD.

    @daffodil2010 Happy Birthday!

Yesterday was supposed to be a FD, I was fine till the evening, but caved in on the way home from work. I was so hungry, ended up eating more than I should have and had ice cream too. Plan to start over again today. I feel so bloated…The scale is up again, cant wait to see it go down. Have a nice day everyone

    Day 6, Cornwall UK, NFD

Doing OK with our visitors onboard! I’m eating more, but its not all bad stuff and we are doing lots of walking. I even offered to drive in the evening so I couldn’t OD on the booze! Helped my head this morning. ๐Ÿ˜

I think we’ll go to St Mawes today as its very eye catching. And maybe the St Just in Roseland church – which sits on the edge of the Fal Estuary. The church is super-old-and-beautiful and the graves nestle in a sub-tropical garden. Its such a magic place and I am not at all religious!

I will be glad to fast on Thursday as there’s lots of food around with visitors and its a bit stressy trying to resist. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

    Day 2, Cornwall UK, NFD

    2nd post

@basyjames – interesting about people feeling its OK to comment on your weight. I have friends asking how much I weigh now and they never asked before. So I tell them and ask right back about their weight! I think its because I have been the fatty for a long time, but not any more, even though I have more lbs to lose. Your change is maybe an uncomfortable reminder to others about their own unwanted lbs!

Sometimes my weight loss brings back memories of being fat-shamed – by strangers, as I have a kindly family. ‘Nice-face-shame-about-the-bum’ from men in the street! ‘You need to lose some weight’ from an old lady in a crowded bus (I weighed 84kg at the time and I’m tall). I know I should laugh it off as it says more about the person making the comment, but my brain refuses to forget!

    Day 6 – Ireland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช – NFD

Today is my birthday so I have been thinking. I had planned to hit 125lbs by today plus fit into a dress I bought in Sorrento many moons ago. I am almost at 125 and will try on the dress thus evening, though I am confident it will fit me now. Sooo, I think I will rearrange the ultimate weight goal posts and try to get down a little further into 8 stone land. Get to 120lb, 8 stone 8 – and then maintain with an acceptable weight range of 5lbs.

I am only 5’2″, I have a 30″ waist and just scraped into the healthy waist to height ratio at 0.49 – I don’t quite feel ready to maintain at this weight and psychologically I want to scoot a bit further away from 9 stone. Another few pounds will get me to BMI 21, a lower waist size, but not emaciated…..I AM 51 today after all. @snowflake56 thanks for the good wishes โ˜บ๏ธ

Musings done, so off to work where the boss has spoken of cake for a double celebration today. One of my colleagues turned 20 yesterday (how did I get from being one of the young ones in work to now being almost elder lemon….where did those years go?? ๐Ÿค”)

Then I am finished work until next Monday. There will be wine tonight.

    Have a great day everyone

    Day 6 – UK – Reading B2BFD

Happy birthday @daffodil2010 – enjoy your wine and cake knowing they are always calorie free on your birthday. Your progress is so inspiring! I, finally, had a good day yesterday. OH has decided to do meal replacement shakes to try and lose a bit of weight, so I just had veggies for dinner last night. It made a huge difference and I’m 2lbs lighter this morning. So going for another FD today. Onwards and downwards.

    Day 5 Belfast NFD

It is so easy to get used to pulling back the curtains and seeing the sunshine. What a difference it makes to your mood. Thereโ€™s an interesting programme on BBC this evening โ€˜The truth about carbsโ€™ with Dr Tulleken
@flourbaby – youโ€™re so right – the number on the label really doesnโ€™t matter. Itโ€™s that mirror satisfaction that is all important. The problem is when you catch an unexpected sight in a window or mirror when your stomach isnโ€™t sucked in lol!
    @bert1802 a really interesting post.
@meltham_owl welcome and well done on your journey so far. Many here comment on that great post fast empty feeling. Personally I exercise hard on a FD with no loss of energy. In fact I would say I have more stamina in a FD. This is a great WOL for sure.
Thank you @fatfingers for your inspirational post. Yes, I think youโ€™ve summed up this WOL beautifully.
Good to see you back @rahul1905
@louise12 itโ€™s never too late to join.
@linda329 personally I find not eating until my main meal easier. If I eat, it unleashes the hunger dragon! If I feel peckish, I drink fizzy water or a cup of broth or an oxo cube to take away the pangs.
@rainbowsmile I have a chrome cast and find it great.
    @anna6 enjoy your proud moment
@cornish-jane your post reminded me how long it is since I was in Cornwall. I must make a trip.
@daffodil2010 have a very happy birthday my virtual friend. ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽ‚

Jumping into the discussion about belly fat, while my waist measurement isnโ€™t really going down, my shape is changing and above and below the waist is getting less, maybe partially through exercise. I guess Iโ€™ll just have to keep plodding on ๐Ÿขor make myself a big ice pack to go around the middle!๐Ÿ˜ฑ

    Day 6 UK NFD

Wow yesterday’s fast day was hard. By the evening I was so hungry and at one point I even contemplated eating the baby!!! But I did get my workouts done even though I didn’t want to and I felt loads better afterwards and less hungry.

@moukinator 30 day shred is a fitness programme by Jillian Michaels. It consists of 3 30 minute workouts which progress in difficulty. You do each workout for 10 days (or longer if needed) before moving onto the next level. It is good. No matter what exercise programme I do I always seem to find my way back to Jillian.

    @daffodil2010 Happy Birthday!!!

Hope everyone has a fab day and I’m sending everyone positive vibes.

hello all day 6 NI healthy eating day

Had a good fast day yesterday with only 2 cups of coffee with splash of milk and some kefir. Yoga class and played squash with son so felt epic! I so enjoy exercise on a fast day and feel so much more energised. Don’t be scared to try exercise on a fast day.
Going to do another fast day tomorrow and then off to Galway for the weekend although it should be a relatively good weekend as it is my first yoga workshop on Saturday. My OH and sons as part of my birthday is treating me, even though I will be abandoning him for most of Saturday. One of the teachers started swimming everyday for the past year and I am thinking of joining her on Sunday morning – June I can possibly do – December no way brrrr!

    @daffodil2010 – a very happy birthday x

@anna6 – congratulations to your son – and well you should be a proud mum

Have a good day everyone x

Happy Birthday @daffodil2010, I hope your OH isnโ€™t working today and you get a spin on the bike followed by a celebratory meal (& wine โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.& cake) out!!!!

@debster251, Iโ€™ve had a few double takes in shop windows and although soooooo much less of me these days, my posture is still that of an overweight person โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. I can hide really well!!!! I now need to stick my chest out, stick my navel to my spine, push my shoulders back and swing my hips and think thereโ€™s a string pulling me upwards from the crown of my head!!! I do it in Pilates, just need to transfer to real life!!!

    LOL @sarahbob, I always loved that saying โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. โ€œI love kids, but I couldnโ€™t eat a whole one!!!!!โ€

@coda, I honestly couldnโ€™t think of anything worseโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. Sunday morning (surely theyโ€™re for lying in bed with the papers โ€˜til dinner time???) swimming (not just exercise on a lazy day, but the โ€˜getting wetโ€™ kind of exercise!!!) โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. I shudder at the thought, but I applaud your plan with gusto!!!!!

Onward & Downwards people, itโ€™s salad weather (in London anyhow!), so I KNOW Iโ€™ve got this!!!!!!

    Day 6 – CD; Dublin, Ireland (71.5kg)

    Hi everyone!

Successful MFD yesterday, coming in at a comfortable 750kcal. I was doing alright until about 3pm, when suddenly I was absolutely starving. By the time we prepared dinner (butternut squash and turkey breast fillet on the bbq), I was worried I would over eat, but managed to control myself. And that control paid off – back to 71.5kg, which was my weight before we had our mini-break in Poland. It really was just water retention – polish food is very salty.

Two days of CD ahead of us, then another FD on Friday before my parents come for the weekend. Haven’t planned our meals yet, but I’m sure the fiance will whip up something delicious.

The weather is great today, so also hoping to go for a run. We would like to run the Dublin Half-Marathon in September, but we haven’t started training. Got new running shoes over the weekend, hoping they will be the motivation we’ve needed.

Good luck to everyone fasting today!

    Happy birthday @daffodil2010!!

    Day 6 – UK – FD
    Day 5 – UK – NFD

    Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes @molij @dingping @bert1802 @borealis @basyjames @penz @emma1202

Another lovely day yesterday – warm weather, blue skies and sunshine – an energising walk with fab views and a healthy BBQ lunch with our walking and running friends – another lovely birthday celebration and best of all I manage to come in for the day under my TDEE!

Today will be my only FD for this week so must make it count – planning on lots of water and eating a bowl of homemade kefir yogurt with blueberries this evening – I may need to pop onto this forum to read the posts for inspiration during the day…..as I intend to keep fasting until my evening meal tomorrow night. Aerobic class at 0900hrs tomorrow morning, cooking in the voluntary “Fareshares” kitchen in the morning then driving to Suffolk sometime around 1400hrs hopefully arriving to my dear friend’s house around 1900hrs for supper and a celebratory glass of bubbly!!!!

@flourbaby – You are doing great just keep going and you will soon get to where you “look in the mirror & smile โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ not frown!!!” BTW I really enjoy reading your posts – always make me smile/laugh which is wonderful medicine!
@ktcaroline – there are so many great healthy choices of normal food – eat a big bowl of oven roasted vegetable salad instead of resorting to shakes with all sort of unnecessary additives. @fasting_me has a website with so many interesting FD meal recipes on it called “Eating well, with creative recipes, to follow the Fasting Lifestyle”:- https://fastingme.com/
@missybear – Thank you – I’m hoping that I can maintain during this celebration month by doing 16:8 or OMAD when I have a celebratory meal, will keep me in check – I will try to do at least 1 FD each week too!
@bert1802 – interesting experiment from the documentary you saw – unfortunately snacking seems to be a part of life these days – has anyone noticed that when out and about how many people you see eating whilst they are walking on the street – giving up on eating between meals has been a great part of my weight loss journey and having only 2 meals a day has been the other!
@arelkade – positive thoughts for your brother and family whilst you are waiting for the outcome of his specialist review – stay strong ๐Ÿค—
@meltham_owl – Welcome to the monthly challenges – Firstly congratulation on your achievements so far ๐Ÿ‘ your story is a bit like mine – I started 5:2 on my own and joined the challenges when I plateaued and the support and advice given here got me off the plateau to maintenance and staying there – I’m now in my 18th month of maintenance!!!
@annemarilyn – how exciting for you so now only 8 more days to retirement……….you are definitely allowed to tick the days off that calendar!!!!
@coda – Thank you – no worries – I had a fab time and felt very loved and spoilt and more to come over this month – I will enjoy it all with no guilt and ensure moderation in between…….Hope you enjoy your yoga workshop as much as I enjoy mine up here ๐Ÿ™
@fatfingers @rahul1905 – great to have you with us again – Together We Are Stronger!
@dykask – Now that is definitely “(Not really a light breakfast)” – assuming you don’t use milk I made that to be around 1300cals – just around 200cal less than my daily TDEE!!
@cornish-jane – sympathies – proseco does this to me too but I love a glass or is it a bottle of bubbly ๐Ÿ˜‰
@kerryn73 – ๐Ÿค— You can do this – we will all be here to pull you back on @bert1802 famous wagon……
@louise12 – Welcome 5:2 is a wonderful WOL (way of life) and it works too!
    @rainbowsmile – happy pondering ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”
@linda329 – personally I have alway found it easier to drink lots of water and some cups of tea with skimmed milk during the day and save my calories for an evening meal (eating seems to awaken that hunger dragon) and on some days I only need a glass of my homemade kefir before bed so consume just over 100cals for the day! But different ways suits different people – hopefully you will find what works best for you x
@lorky35 – I drink 500mls of water, go for walk, tidy up, ring a friend – you get the idea – distraction therapy I call it ๐Ÿ˜‡
@anna6 – well done to your son and proud mums rock!
@snowflake56 – Thank you – I’m sure that I will – looking forward to celebrating with so many old friends
@daffodil2010 – another June baby!! I’m sure you will fit in that dress and feel fabulous – Happy Birthday and have a wonderful day ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿพ

Excellent FD yesterday at 520 calories. Also got in a power 15-minute walk. Will have my breakfast shortly. DAFD is always a challenge, but so far maintenance is going well.

    Day 5 NFD

    Happy b’day @daffodil2010, have a good day.

    Day 6 Canada CD

Going 16:8 today, I’m feeling that my FD’s will be Monday and Friday and a 16:8 CD mid week would be a good routine for this month. Life is busy and my posts are brief but reading through the daily posts at bedtime is a great motivation- thanks for the support everyone.

@daffodil2010 wishing you a Happy Birthday

Day 6 North Canton OH FD#3

I think I am going through a whoosh, my lower belly has been really squishy lately and even though I am drinking the same amount I usually do, I canโ€™t stay off the potty. I stepped on the scale and I am just 3 pounds away from the top end of my maintenance range โ€“ I should get there by Saturday.
Even though the scale shows I am slightly above my preferred happy weight range, I think I may be smaller in inches; I can’t keep my chain link watch on and I adjusted the fit the first time I reached maintenance last year.
Just goes to show you, this WOL works even with all the self-sabotage on the weekends.

@shinything thanks for empathizing with my tech woes, I hope third times a charm and I should be all set by Friday morning.

@michelinme good on you for cracking it in your headspace.

@anna6 congratulations on your sonโ€™s excellent behavior certificate ๐Ÿ™‚

@emma1202 I will echo @annemarilyn in recommending some salt, same thing happened with me when I tried a B2B water fast, I think @coda said to eat some broth; I did and it made a huge difference.

@rahul1905 donโ€™t beat yourself up about the slip up, if you keep at it they will become fewer and farther between.

@cornish-jane it is very annoying and completely against the rules of etiquette. Somethings should be off limits, except for when a loving intervention is needed of course, but even then a careful approach should be utilized. Too many of us have struggled with weight and body image issues, a true friend does not ding you where she knows it will hurt.

    @daffodil2010 Happy birthday to you!

Struggling a bit with almost everything at the moment. Feeling the muffin top blues……

No weight shifting, mind you could be the gym scales, I prefer to own my own. Thinking on it, oh yes another ponder. Do I want a fitbit one?

Day 6 Stevensville Maryland USA CNFD

Yesterday was a great FD. I am under so much stress at work I don’t even feel like eating. I have worked at this Marina for 7 years managing the Service Department. Now they want to relocate me to a mile away and still manage the Department, which is impossible. I may have to make them fire me today. So stressful.

A flower doesn’t have to compete with the flower next to it, it just blooms.

Have a great day everyone and Happy Birthday @daffodil2010 enjoy your special day.

    Day 6 – USA – FD

@daffodil2010, happy birthday! @at, glad you enjoyed yours! @anna6, congrats on your son’s certificate! @flourbaby, my mom taught us that “string on top of your head pulling you up” visualization when my sister and I, who are 20 months apart, were very young. @annemarilyn, bet you’re counting the hours! Any plans for retirement yet? @basyjames, how exciting to be 3 lbs. away from the top of your maintenance; I’m happy for you! @diana123, hope you are able to negotiate a good solution for yourself at work.

Day 6, Rocky Mountains, US, NFD

    Hello everybody,

I am back from Europe and will be rejoining this fabulous international group. @basyjames: Thanks for hosting the June Challenge.๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒป

I have to catch up on reading the first pages when I am feeling less jet lagged to meet old friends and get to know the new participants in this great journey.

I like to share one thing today: I did not gain any weight in Austria and Croatia thanks to doing 16:8. I ate everything and had plenty of beer and wine. It really does work. I am maintaining and do not feel deprived. What a great lifestyle. 5:2, intermittent fasting is working. It is not a diet but a way of life.

    Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!๐Ÿ˜Š

@redreockgirl302 welcome back! That is so awesome, thank you for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚
    @metatauta thank you, 5:2 rules!!!

    Day 6, Finland, NFD

I decided against a half hearted B2B with the aim of completing a proper 2 FD this week. I had a successful FD yesterday and will have my second on friday. I was thinking of making a rhubarb pie today…i love rhubarb, but I am feeling very weak, and could possibly eat the whole thing… so will leave it for tomorrow.

Thanks @flourbaby, @moukinator, and @at for the encouragement. I can do it!

@moukinator being able to enjoy treats is why I like this WOL too….every diet I have ever done weight has come back because i can not sustain the eating plans. I am hoping that this WOL is the key to long term changes.
@arelkade your days weather is the same as here in Finland…problem is it is summer ๐Ÿ˜‰
@daffodil2010 hope your birthday has been wonderful! How did the dress fit?
@cornish-jane I remember Cornwall being so beautiful, and I have a second cousin from Mousehole. Such cute little villages. People are so rude when it comes to weight aren’t they. There’s no happy medium, you’re either too fat or too skinny…
@redrockgirl302 congratulations on no weight gain, quite the feat!

    Enjoy the evening everyone!

And yes @at‘s mantra is ideal

    Day 6 – NC, USA – NFD

Thank you @annemarilyn and @basyjames for the salt advice. I will try that tomorrow during my WFD.

Happy birthday @daffodil2010! Hope you have a great day.

Thinking of you @diana123 I hope the work thing turns out okay.

Day 6 – SW WA USA – NFD

The 47 hour fast ending about 5:30 last evening, helped move the dial. I started the month at a high of 208 lbs. This morning it’s 203.2. So glad! I did enjoy the tavern burger w/o a bun but cheese, guacamole, salsa & lettuce and some sweet potato fries. Many educators took advantage of the free burgers at Red Robin.

@metatauta – not too many concrete plans yet. Probably part-time working with student teachers at a university &/or an adult ESL class at the community college. I am moving to Spolane, WA where both my adult kiddos live. The part-time teaching is in hopes of enjoying some more travel; often “travel with a purpose” as my son calls it. I’ve done a few such as a teacher missions trip to Rwanda.

    @daffodil2010 – Happy Birthday! Enjoy!

@diana123 – may things work out well work-wise for you.

So glad we’re on this journey together!

    Day 6…..Florida….FD

Iโ€™m a bit late posting today. I just had the hardest time getting up, I layed in bed for nearly an hour just listening to the thunder and rain. So, it left me little time to do my morning rountine. So, Iโ€™m catching up now.
In my rush this morning, I was unable to calculate my calories for my FD. So, I just grabbed a spinish, artichoke, kale and feta cheese wrap for lunch. It was okay but I almost fell on the floor when I calculated the calories after work. This means, I only have 100 calories for the rest of the evening. So, most fruit and veg for dinner!
Gosh remind me to never do that again!

@cornish…..I donโ€™t get why people think itโ€™s okay to comment on a persons weight. When I was heavier, I used to just say Iโ€™m just working with what the good Lord gave me. Iโ€™m doing pretty well considering this ass is so big, wouldnโ€™t you say?
Now, I get so sick of hearing, your so skinny? Are you eating? It really irritates me. About a month ago, I had this old man grab my thigh in the grocery store, I did not know him from Adam and he says to me…..Do you eat? I was so mad because he actually touched me…..I said to him……Only your left overs and there hasnโ€™t been much these days! I was shocked, I left the grocery store and sent my husband to finish shopping!
I mean, I have no idea why people think itโ€™s okay to comment on a persons weight! God created us all differently for a reason some big, some small, some short, some tall, some with blue eyes others with brown….. I believe it was so he could tell each of us apart from another!

Okay, well, Iโ€™m off got to figure out what Iโ€™m going to eat for 100 calories!

Japanese legend says……. if you are not sleeping at night it is because you are awake!

    Day 6 UK NFD

This long & strange day began with baking a birthday cake, then attempting to bake another small cake bc i forgot vegan person – it worked the second time. No idea why I thought i had time to do all that plus yoga & meditation & get ready & travel to town ready to chair a 2hr meeting, which took some serious chairing! All good but lots more work to do.

I’ve eaten cake – firstly the vegan cake to work out what had gone wrong with it, belatedly realising that was an unhelpful and unnecessary 350 calories! Then some gf low carb cake with blackberries, a carrot, some bean & pasta salads and a couple of hard boiled eggs. No idea of the calories in that lot – and no idea why I ate pasta for the first time in a few years. Because it was there? Not drunk enough again – ran out of fizzy water so lost my automatic drinking routine.

Wore a smaller dress today, loose style but slightly shaped bodice. Several people commented on how well I looked, my daughter thought i was looking skinny! Everything is relative.

Strange day also bc found out that an elderly friend had died suddenly at home. Realised that I needed to do a lot of notifying other friends who have moved away from the community, so reading and responding at various points of the day made for some odd juxtapositions.

Yet also had one of those days where things just flow, you sense things before they’re said and feel deep connections with people. Finished by leading a small group discussion on connections in the city, then going home and making connections on the way. All in all a very full day in all senses of the word.

Be glad of a FD tomorrow even tho it’s a pretty full on day too, looking forward to the mental clarity it brings. I’ve really appreciated reading posts and sorry not to be able to respond; my brain is full up just now. Way past bedtime and need to load washing machine etc so Future Me has a good start to the day…

@daffodil2010 A Very Happy Birthday to you!

    Day 7 – Japan – NFD 78.6kg

This week my weight continues to slide after my fast. However Thursday is my hardest workout day.

    Day 7 – Ireland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช – NFD

Thank you all, too many to name check, but I am seriously touched at the good wishes and birthday songs from all of you good people on this forum โ˜บ๏ธ Thank you ๐Ÿค—

I had a lovely day. There was cake in work, another lad has his 19th birthday today so it was a treble celebration. I tried on a host of dresses when I got home. My Sorrento dres looks fab! Woo hoo! Even better however was a sparkly black cocktail dress last worn at a party in December 1998…..I love it and always look at it in hope…..it fits again!!!

Then I had a lasagne for dinner, red wine, caught up on my Gardeners World shows on tv…so relaxing. DH was working so I was alone….and I have to say it was nice to watch tv with glass of wine in hand. I don’t do that anymore, so a treat indeed.

Off work today. Going to visit my Dad, then later we collect our granddaughter for a couple of days of babysitting.

    Onwards and downwards

    Day 6 Belfast FD

Welcome back @Redrockgirl. Glad you had a great trip with no excess baggage!

    Onwards and downwards!

Day 7 Sicily FD Congratulations @daffodil2010 On Birthday and fitting into those dresses. I too saved favorites forever and now fit into them! Hurrah for the 5/2!
Maintenance in Sicily is a challenge but easier since I’m here for a month. I’m doing one FD per week and several CDs. No scales about but so far so good. I got to eat wonderful foods yesterday- Caponata with bread, Tortellini ragu…
