Day 29, NFD, Aus
I totally blew yesterday’s DTF. My mental process was as follows: I need a drink, to knock me out, so I sleep soundly!! Well that worked until I woke at 2.40am.. At least I went back to sleep for a few hours.
Looks like a lot of you (@shinything, @bert1802) are in need of dental work at the moment. Thinking of you all and wishing you speedy recoveries.
@Stichincarol – might be too late to share my experience with fasting and blood donation. I used to donate in Florida and their blood service never checked that I’d had sufficient water and a proper meal within a few hours of donating. So I donated on a FD (and I do a liquid FD). I didn’t faint or anything but did feel quite light headed – not an experience I want to repeat! (Here in Australia they’re very diligent about ensuring you’ve eaten and drunk!) Hope you were able to manage your Fast Five and donation drive safely. Your holiday sound divine! Pity you won’t be able to keep us posted with all the wonderful scenery and family catch ups you’ll experience – have a great time and we’ll see you next month.
Day 29 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – FD
I have been off the forum for a few days as its so busy, this is the ultimate week were I am covering my colleagues annual leave so is full on.
But it’s here, so onwards I go, confident that things will be ok and I will see it through. Cannot wait for Friday evening when it’s all over and it’s the bank holiday and the long commutes will end and normality returns.
Doing ok with 5:2 and today’s is a fast day so going to be good.
I was shocked, 😳, to get TOM after many months on Monday……so that threw an extra curve ball into this week’s mix. Ah well, back to the start with that one too.
Have a great Wednesday, off to catch the early train, got to be in work by 9…….(anyone remember Manic Monday by The Bangles ☺️?)
Day 29, Emden Germany, FD
@bellyblast and @penz I’ll see if the bookshop will be able to order books by Tim Winton or Trend Dalton, they don’t have the most enthousiastic employers when it comes to looking up foreign authors.
@shinything most of our garden birds also did very well this year but we lost the parents of our blue tit nest and found the two small ones dead in the nest box. The next door cat killed another small blue tit and a small blackbird. The neighbours are on holiday at the moment and he has to stay indoors as we take care of him.
@daffodil2010 oh yes, the Bangles, I still like them.
@northgeorgia go for it!
Pocket list day 29
Have a nice day everyone!
Day 29 – UK – CD
Good morning everyone
@penz – Fasting/blood donation etc – At the moment I’m going through a lot of blood tests and the likes, been told to be very careful with FD’s at the moment. Had a discussion about fasting and putting 5:2 on hold, ended up agreeing that my FD’s would not coincide with investigations where tracer dyes were used or more blood was being taken. Have to drink lots though, both before and after any procedure.
So generally being very cautious at the moment FD’s will be between 800/900, my NFD’s will remain under 1600 well under my BMR which is 1830, alcohol is cut right back! Luckily my beers are between 137 – 170 calories per bottle (yes the brewers calculator even works that out!) so a couple of bottles are not a problem, occasionally. Might be slow going with weight loss at the moment, but needs must!
@snowflake56 – @shinything – Nature and animals instincts can be cruel, we had a small dog years ago, friendly and as soft as they come, until fledglings were in the garden! He used to go nuts, really had to be careful, he wouldn’t chase pheasants or rabbits when we were out, but on his territory….
Take care all
Day 29, London, UK, FD (LFD?)
I’m feeling particularly sluggish (or am I just slug-like😲) this morning, I feel like I’m carrying the 30+lbs around that I’ve already lost!! So this will be a short post, although it may take 30mins to write!!!😜
@daffodil2010, I’m not sure it’s a good thing to have a Manic Monday on a Wednesday😨!!! It is Wednesday isn’t it ………………….. as I said …………….. slug-like!!!😜😂
Have a great day everyone!!! 🙏
Day 29 NFD UK
Good morning everyone.
Not sure about today. Scales were very disappointing. Think North Georgia scales have been secretly talking to mine. Not a big gain but as I only lose in minuscule bites it translates as a big hill and am now languishing in the slough of despond(Milton). This is probably due to increased meds so will have to get on with it. If the choice is between weight loss and no pain then the latter wins hands down. The consequence of all this is that I am taking the day off. Tomorrow is time enough to start again and so what if I don’t make my target this month, there is always August just around the corner for a fresh beginning.
Re wealthy pastors I feel I should explain that OH and I celebrated our Diamond wedding anniversary (told you I was old), by flying to Washington for a week then Amtrack to New York for a week and finally on the Queen Mary 11 back to Southampton. It was on the ship that I met the pastor and his wife as they were seated next to us for meals. They are retired and travel every year on the Queen to stay for a few months in their place in Scotland and then return home to America. Hence my impression of wealthy pastors. The other one I got to know is a similar story but this time owning property. I am not in the wealthy category by any means.
My glass is still half full but wobbling a bit at the moment.
Day 29 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD
@stitchincarol – you’re welcome. Enjoy your trip! 🚙
@penz – I almost blew the DTF too! I was seriously considering having (just one) vodka as a nightcap. But I had cocoa instead. And I’m so glad I did 😇
@daffodil2010 – I still like that song. I hope your Wednesday isn’t too manic!
Happy Hump Day! 🐫

MiL’s 93rd birthday yesterday so cake was had. Today DD visiting so pudding again!
managing to get 10K steps in though, so hopefully not too much damage.
have a good day everyone.
Day 29 – Rural Nebraska, USA – Fast5
I should also note it’s 4:31am, my husband’s been awake since 2:15 and gave up and is bathing, and that shot me awake and we both have pounding headaches. Vacations are hard work, LOL!
As to donating blood yesterday, I decided to have a small yogurt at noon, hours before my eating window opened up, but figured the protein in it would be good; I then had two bags of raisins post-donation, and did just fine, so that was nice. Perhaps in September I’ll just fast through it all, since it’ll be a complete normal behavior by then. Thanks, everyone, for the comments and suggestions and encouragement.
@i-hate-lettuce, so sorry to hear of the health issues you’re having that require blood tests. Sounds serious, so I’ll keep you in prayer.
@annabelle48, so sorry to hear your med requirements are messing with weight loss, but I’m glad your pain can be managed with meds. Your 60th anniversary trip sounds absolutely lovely!
Okay, time to get dressed and start loading the car. 23YO DS just texted me, so he and 28YO DS are apparently getting just as early a start as we are! 🙂
Well, the dentist was extremely long, I was there for well over 2 hours to only walk out with an antibiotic….. going to be interesting since I have not had a antibiotic nor any pharmaceuticals for that matter in well over 20 years….. I have no idea how my body is going to handle this…… as for my tooth, I need a root canal and a cap to fix this tooth.
After all said and done it looks like, to get everything done, I need it’s going to cost me out of pocket and $1500. Thank goodness, I have dental insurance……. but looks like I’m going to get it all done and be over with it…….
@shinything……….I hope everything works out for you at the dentist!
I did not do the OMAD yesterday seeing as I was unsure if I was going to be able to eat after……. I was and the hubby made a wonderful veggie soup, so, dinner was very light. Today, will be a OMAD with a 500 calorie limit….. the hubby already prequalified dinner and asked if I wanted the salad we bought…… why yes…. thank you.
Well it’s that time…..
Have a good day, make good choices
I’m totally lacking the zip-a-dee part of my doo-dah day!
Day 29 Canada NFD
Yesterday was a bust in every way. A huge project at work fell through thanks to some ones admin error, if I can’t sort it out it will mean a major restructuring to survive the pandemic. 2020 is the pits. Needless to say the FD went out the window as did DTF. Now I am up at 3am stressing about the problems.
Going to try and make today a gentle one!
Day 29 – USA/GA – FD
Up slightly to 252 this morning. No biggie. Last FD of the month for me; hope it’s a good one!
@snowflake56 Thanks for putting me on the pocket list! I’m planning to run out of 250s town in the next couple of weeks, so I’ll try to bring back a souvenir LOL
@annabelle48 It’s an evil plot, I tell you! Remember in the Slough of Despond (Bunyan), the only way out is to take Help’s hand. We are here as your support in the month of August!
Good luck to everyone on the pocket list today!
Day 29. OMAD. London
That DTF list is my lifesaver. Thanks Brad for putting me on it every day. Confession – we went out last Thursday – Turkish restaurant, cinema, and pub, and instead of having alcohol free beer, I automatically went for red wine. What a fool. Decided to cheat properly so had more red wine at home, had banging hangover the next day. Mea Culpa.
Happy hump day all 🐫
Day 29 2nd post.
@north Georgia. What a lovely wise person you are. Thank you for reminding me about Help got my Miltons and Bunyons mixed up so thanks for the correction.
Day 29 North Canton OH CD
@Stitchin carol TOM is Time of the month.
Have a wonderful day everyone ✨
Day 29, UK, NFD
Last Friday we were both feeling pretty fed up – it was our wedding anniversary on Saturday and for the last 20 plus years we’ve celebrated it at the WOMAD music festival, which was cancelled. On Friday we were moaning about not going to the festival and having a boring anniversary. We decided to see if we could get away -anywhere would do. A quick bit of googling later and we found a lovely holiday cottage available in Northumberland, from Saturday to yesterday. We took ourselves off and have had such a nice weekend. There was hardly any internet, so I couldn’t post here. It was right next door to a pub so I’m sure you all can imagine the few days we’ve had. We liked it so much were going back again in a couple of weeks.
Back in work today, feeling very tired. It won’t be a FD but I’ll keep to under 1200 cals at day’s end. Lots of posts to catch up on.
Keep safe everyone.
Day 29, UK, NFD
The great news is I still have my tooth, at least for now 😁, only need antibiotics. I’m so relieved!
Tomorrow will be my FD, the last of this month 🙂
@bert1802 thank you for your good wishes xx , it all went well.
@i-hate-lettuce I hope all the tests you are having is not for anything serious 🙏
@snowflake56 oh noooo poor blue tits 😪 . Nature is so rough and wildlife has it really hard, but I particularly hate when cats and dogs attack them, there is no excuse for that as they don’t lack food 😤 . Note: I like both, cats and dogs, just don’t like them killing other animals.
Anyway, now that I can relax I have few errands to run …
Have a good day everyone 🌼
Day 28 – Ireland – LFD
Checking in late today! Have had a busy one with work and trying to work around hospital tests and consultant visits just gets me stressed.. 👿 I’m always worried my auto Immune condition is flaring and nearly talk myself into that … hopefully it’s not but if ever there was a time for stress to affect the body it’s at the moment… but on verra.. we’ll see tomorrow 🤞
@ihatelettuce i hope your tests go well! I am in the same boat re: fasting and tests. I really don’t want my results to be skewed… but they should be good if not better right?
@bert1802 and @shinything I’m glad you both got to the dentist 👍.
@bellyblast you said it!!!! 2020 is the pits but I do hope you’ll find a solution and that the stress will ease. It seems like a lot of you are awake in the middle of this night Over there across the Atlantic 🌊 … that’s not good 😢
@saffy420 – happy anniversary! It sounds like you definitely made the best of a bad lot 👏👏 I’m envious! Move those country getaways particularly in the UK.
Good on you @suki2 and @emmataylor Cheat days are allowed…
I’m trying to stick to my LFD today and I suppose here I am at 18h00 having just had 3 black decafs and a cup of bone broth… that’s good but must now keep the faith and not surrender to the dragon 🐉

Oh dear lots of stress, tests and dental appointments today 🤞for everyone
See you tomorrow It’s usually a big list on Thursday- last chance saloon for some of us
Day 29th – UK – NFD
Busy, busy today. All gone good. Had plenty of protein to stoke tomorrow’s FD.
Hi @annabelle48 In answer to your query re:-Fast800 Plan (I’m sure it was from you Annabell, apologies if it wasn’t but can’t find post to check); I agree some days are very calorific. One of my days this week was nearly 2000 calories 😮😳. I physically wouldn’t be able to eat that much and if I did I’d gain massively. I generally only have 2 meals out of the 3 offered and tweak calorie count down if I need to. I rarely go over 1200 on NFs. This was my previous intake due to gaining if I eat anymore than this. My FD are around 650-700 as I don’t have the breakfasts. Enjoying the variety and a lot of the recipes I’ll add to my repertoire.
For some reason my iPad won’t copy & paste today so unable to post Pocket List on. Sorry.
Day 30, FD, Aus
@daffodil2010 – I love that Manic Monday song!
Good luck with the library, @snowflake56.
Good luck with the problem solving, @bellyblast. It’s terrible how one minor mistake can have such catastrophic and cumulative consequences.
Ok, kicking off the monster…
Day 30 – pocket list
30 Jul 20
Day 30, Emden Germany, NFD
@penz our library is still closed, I’ll have to go to the bookshop.
@bellyblast, @missybear and @mia139 I seem to be stuck at 60.6 kg so I won’t reach my 60 kg goal this month, I can live with it. I hope you all did better.
Day 30 – UK – FD
Penultimate day of the month and I’m determined I’m not going to blot my card so close to the end of Julys challenge. I can honestly say I’ve not had anything off plan at all this month. Only happened once last month. The thing is with me one day/night free styling can result in multiple lbs gained and then it takes me weeks to get it off again. I’ve gone from 1 step forward, 2 steps back to 2 steps forward and 1 back.
Wishing Everyone a great day
Day 30 – pocket list
Day 30 – Lake district UK – FD
The recent kitchen/utility project is finally put to bed! There was a couple of walls needed papering, so I set to yesterday and pressed on, not bad, only 13 sq metres, but awkward. Managed to get finished yesterday evening, despite the ‘fiddly bits’.
Mrs I-H-L is highly delighted with the end result, time for a break from DIY ….
Brilliant unexpected result yesterday, finished ‘working’ for day, showered and changed, poured a well earned beer, posed for piccy to send to kids, very surprised …. “Who’s that skinny guy in your kitchen”
FD today, typical, we fancy a wander as we’ve been short of walking recently and it’s raining! Never mind, rest day instead? Maybe, but tomorrow is supposed to be really nice weather, BBQ and lazy garden day planned!
@judyjudes – I’ve been a bit the same as you at the moment, but despite the ‘bungy jumping’ still at my lowest, so will very happily take that. Will get back to ‘trying harder’ to get towards my target as and when I can.
I might be boring for a while, but I’ll be around but a bit less round!

Day 30 UK FD
Last fast for July challenge and at the mo I’m really in the groove but like you @judyjudes I’m very aware that a slip can cost dearly I have been trying to follow @funshipfreddie s example and plan a day ahead , we’ll see
Well done @annabelle48 Some of these things are tricky but once you’ve got it they tend to stick
Day 30 – pocket list 🌎
Day 30 – Ireland – CD
I’m a bit stressed today… consultant visit – so transport or cycle debate again, internet issues causing problems making work more stressful than it should be so engineer coming in to house and generally just feeling off… I’m sure it will lift… 🌄
On the upside a new low today…. and only .6lbs off my overall current target 🎯.
I have a week away planned next week though, so I sense this is all very fleeting as I’m hoping for fun with friends at the seaside even if there is no sun 😢. The plan was to be good so setting into the week in a good place so that’s good 👍
Have a good day everybody and what a nice compliment to receive @ihatelettuce!
Well done on the copy and paste @annabelle48 – it is fiddly!

Day 30 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – FD
Last FD for July; for several of us anyway ⚖
I was just reading about Percy Pigs in the UK Mail, & how the packaging is ‘misleading’ for consumers. Well, I don’t think they’ve ever been marketed as a health food; leave Percy alone! I didn’t realise how popular they were – sold in over 100 countries! 🐷
Just heard my local Spar (mini supermarket, 1 km away) is closed due to a staff member testing positive for Covid-19. Will this ever end…?
Have an easy one, fellow fasters!
Day 30 – Pocket List 🌎
Day 30 – DTF List ☕️
Day 30, London, UK, LFD,
I’m not sure why I thought yesterday would be a FD!!! I’m out to lunch tomorrow and it certainly won’t be controlled so I’ll bank a FD today in preparation. Yesterday’s slug brain made me think I could/should fast but that’s actually the opposite of what’s needed with slug-brain!!!
I’m with you @judyjudes …………”one day/night free styling can result in multiple lbs gained” ………………….. no doubt the lack of planning yesterday (never mind the vino & biscuits!!!) will have had an effect, skipping my daily weigh-ins may be a blessing in disguise, although, August 1st will determine if it’s actually been a curse!!!!! I’m petrified I’ve reversed June’s -10lbs, even though the slinky pencil skirt says otherwise!!!! I’m driving myself round the bend, got to get a grip!!!!!!
Anyway, I’m sticking myself on today’s pocket list, it should be ok since it’s sooooo hot, that water will save me today!!!
Have an easy one, fellow fasters!
Day 30 – Pocket List 🌎
Day 30, UK NFD
Reading through the posts, lots of people with dental problems. Here’s hoping they clear quickly as there’s nothing worse than tooth pain. Yesterday I ended on around 1100 calories. I’m not looking forward to getting on the scales on Saturday, mid month I was almost on target, I’ll be lucky if I’m at end of June’s weight.
@funshipfreddie, yes the thought that anyone was buying Percy Pigs thinking they were healthy is laughable, if they wanted to give an example of misleading advertising they could have found lots of other things to choose. For some reason they’re one of the few sweets I don’t like, I think I was too old when they were launched, then never having kids meant I had no real need to buy them.
Planning a long walk today before the weather gets too hot, my OH has offered to buy me lunch in our favourite coffee shop – we haven’t been there since March when the owner was giving away her cakes for free due to imminent lockdown. I’m planning a small prawn salad for tea later so I’ll probably be around 1200 cals again. Tomorrow will be a proper FD, let’s hope it gives me good news.
I’m not fasting today but thinking about the pocket list will keep me mindful.
Day 30 – USA/GA – NFD
Another pound dropped, another record set: 250 lbs. today! (Yes, that 255 is history, muahahaha). As long as I don’t put on more than three pounds of weight today, I should meet my July goal tomorrow — whew, it was a close one! I can’t believe that next month, I will be under 250 lbs! How exciting!
Got a very busy day today, so probably will be lower calorie than a normal NFD. Yesterday, one of my program’s funding sources said they had to make cuts and were going to immediately fire five of my staff members. Please think of us as the higher ups try to persuade them to rethink doing this. I always try to put employees down as a last resort on our budget cuts!
Good luck to everyone on the pocket list today! One more day to go!
Day 30 Canada FD
My last FD for the month so have my focus turned up to maximum. I think I may have a chance of rectifying the project that has caused me so much stress over the last few days, it is going to take months though. If I can’t turn it around then the impact on my organization will last for years and likely be the end of being able to operate. Taking on a positive frame of mind to fight this one!
@funshipfreddie we are seeing cafes and restaurants closing for a deep clean due to a staff member testing positive, and our cases are relatively low. Fatigue is setting in and the young people are especially sick of the new normal.
@jaifaim sounds like the week away is just what you need, a reset comes in many forms
@i-hate-lettuce aka skinny guy you must be so happy the kitchen project is finished
@snowflake56 I was at 60.2kg at the start of the week but the last few days have undone that I am sure. Next month 🙂

Day 30 North Canton CD
@flourbaby and @judyjudes a moment on the lips and a lifetime on the hips. That has been my story. I still haven’t stepped on the scale, but I liked what I saw in the mirror this morning, I can usually tell where things are trending by my silhouette. Also the quality of my sleep has been better. tomorrow will be a waterfast day to round out the month and get August started on a high note. Hubby is really stoked, he did a 36 hour water fast with me and lost 8 pounds, now he’s all on fire to do more LOL
@ I hate lettuce and @northgeorgia congratulations!Hard work paying off big time👏👏
@northgeorgia hope the higher-ups reconsider the layoffs.
Gotta run, Duty calls. I will see you all on the morrow
Day 30 USA (Illinois) NFD
Hard to believe July is nearly finished. Keeping at maintenance is still hard work for me. MFP is my best friend to make sure I don’t over-indulge (which can mean eating right at TDEE). But I am so encouraged by all our faster here. You’re wonderful support.
@northgeorgia – congratulations on making 250! That is a huge milestone. YEAH for you! <3
@i-hate-lettuce – good work! Especially happy to read The Mrs. is happy. And “skinny guy” photo is so uplifting too, eh?
@saffy420 & @funshipfreddie — I had to look up Percy Pigs, and yes, you can get them from Amazon. But besides being calorific they are also expensive for us in the USA! $49.53 (including shipping) for 4 170g bags. The shipping alone is $12.93. Hardly worth it for me!
Onward and downward.
Day 30 – UK – FD800
Apologies for my absence for most of this month – my head has just not been in the right place and I have struggled especially on my NFDs, but also with fasting…….I blame the 🍷🥂
I have used the spreadsheet to try and keep some focus but I have to admit that I have hovered mostly 1-2kg above my maintenance range!!!! Like @songbirdme said maintenance has been hard work!!!!
So I decided to have a push for the last week of this July Challenge and I have been doing B2B FD800 since Sunday to try and come in within my maintenance range🤞
Tomorrow will be my 6th FD800 in a row – hopefully I can stay motivated and get a good number on the scales on Saturday morning to start off the August Challenge in a good frame of mind!
On a positive note I have kept up with my weekly exercise regime (Yoga x3 – Pilates x1 – High Intensity Pilates x1 and Broga x2) and have also got some good walks in when the weather has been kind. My Yoga teacher is unfortunately taking the month of August off so will need to find another zoom class to join or maybe do Yoga with Adrienne for those 4 weeks!!
Sounds like some have had very good successes namely @northgeorgia and @i-hate-lettuce and I am sorry if I have missed any major changes for others both in personal terms as well as 5:2 but thinking of you all 🤗🤗🤗
“If I quit now, I will soon be back to where I started. and when I started, I was desperately wishing to be where I am now”
General question: Has anyone spoken up to handle August??
Yes @songbirdme – @flourbaby is doing August
Good to see you back @at
Day 30 – 2nd Post
@songbirdme – re August, yes. I think @flourbaby is hosting August.
Duh? And I see someone already answered your question. Well, it’s the thought that counts… 🤔
Always always, keep them guessing, after-all …………..Timing is EVERYTHING …………………………..Don’t Panic!!!! …………………….. The August ……………. Auspicious August challenge is up and running!!!!!
Day 31, NFD, Aus
My FD yesterday didn’t. Enough said there. Not a good way to end the month, however.
@songbirdme – @flourbaby is our host for August. You can’t fail to see the most colourful and bold new forum folder she’s set up!!!
See you all in August.
31 Jul 20
Day 30 – Japan – WFD #60
Overwhelmed by work and setting up schedules so my son can attend online-classed this fall. It is a bit of a problem since we are in Japan and he is in a US east coast university program.
I’m finding my fasting pattern is getting old. If it weren’t for covid-19 I’d probably try just fasting longer once a week, at least for a while.
Day 31, Emden Germany, NFD
I didn’t reach my goal this month, I weighed 0.5 kg/1.0lbs less this morning so stayed about the same. I’m not far away from my goal weight, I’m sure I’ll get there next month.
@saffy420 what a lovely time out you and your OH had!
@i-hate-lettuce well done on finishing the kitchen. It’s always so satisfying when you’re finished, isn’t it?
@at hi, nice to hear from you!
Have a nice day and see you all in August!
Day 31 – Ireland – NFD
Recent efforts this week or the cumulative efforts over Covid have resulted in an ATL of 159.8 so I’m now under my overall goal. Whoo hoo 🎉
M’y July goal Is 163.5 lbs so I’ll weigh tomorrow as that’s my norm But I feel I have wriggle room now for my break next week. I am delighted or “delira” as we might say here 🤗
Omg I can’t actually believe it 😳🙃
Thank you @brightonbelle for looking after us this month… It seems like it was a good month for many 💪 .
@flourbaby I’m looking forward to Auspicious August challenge 👍 Thanks for setting it up 👏. Maybe I will be maintaining? Mon dieu! I had given up a bit of hope on that score but this is the thing…. this WOL works even for us tortoises 🐢 ♥️ 🐢♥️🐢
Well I had good news yesterday with my consultant who thinks my kidneys are in good shape… phew 😅. Actually asked me if I was leaner since the last visit.. (a few years) In fact he said a lot of nice things which I was glad and so relieved to hear. With an auto Immune condition you’re just always expecting to be put back in meds and I hate them! Good man 😁
But I got bad news just as I left the hospital as my dad was taken to hospital so I am a bit all over the place now and hoping that this is just a blip but… who knows… 🙏
You are right about the break @basyjames, my holiday spot next week is not far from my parents so I’ll be close thankfully.. and most likely will split my time between the two … another of life’s waves 🌊 and it puts all my other worries this week into perspective but it’s still crap.😢
Really great to have you back @at 👍.
Well done @northgeorgia that’s fantastic news ⬇️
@songbirdme don’t waste your money…. 🐷 they are seriously not worth that money!!
I have to try finish up my work today so will focus on that and get packed etc
Have a great last day of the month!
Day 31 – Lake district UK – NFD
Firstly to BrightonBelle – Thanks very much for hosting this month, unfortunately, as I may have mentioned 😉 I’ve been a bit busy, but still managed to call in every morning which helped keep me on the straight and narrow!
A couple of things for me personally this month, completed my first year on 5:2, which has been a great success. Secondly, it seems that this WOL has now become pretty much a habit! Despite not recording everything and my walking routine being completely out of kilter, over the month I’ve ended up maintaining my lowest weight. So I am quite happy to call that a successful result.
Day 31 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD
I don’t know whose crazy idea it was to allocate 31 days to July? I think 30 days is plenty, so….my final weigh-in for July this morning (I only weigh after FDs anyway) was 70.5 kgs. Started the month at 70.4, so I’d call that maintaining, & I’m declaring July… a success!!💥 🎉🏆
Congratulations @northgeorgia on the new low! Prepare to greet the 240’s! 💪
And well done @i-hate-lettuce on maintaining, & finishing the DIY. As a wise guy (or gal?) once said, ‘happy wife, happy life’!
@jaifaim – a new ATL?!! Congratulations! 🎉 🏆 Enjoy your break, & I hope your Dad’s okay 🤞
@songbirdme – $50 for four packets of Percy Pigs?!! That’s insane. Nothing tastes that good. Well, maybe if they replaced the fruit juice with alcohol? In South Africa it’s about R13 for a 75 g packet; which is less than $1.
@brightonbelle – thank you for hosting this month 🤗 ‘See’ everyone in August…
Yay, it’s Friday! 🍹
Day 31, London, UK, NFD,
Hmmm, I joined you yesterday @penz in the FD that wasn’t!!! I just threw in the towel without much resistance and once the fruit and yoghurt was gone, the hunt for ANYTHING to stick in my gob began!!!Today won’t be a FD as I’m lunching out – first visit to fav restaurant! – I’m very wary, super anxious and fearing I might drink my worries away😟!!! Tomorrows’ first & final July weigh-in might NOT go to plan!!!
Well done @northgeorgia🥇, you’re going to fly through the 240’s!!! When you look back it seems to have happened in a flash!! I know it didn’t feel like it at the time, but that 255 wobble is a distant, distant memory!!!!
@jaifaim congratulations, your efforts have been rewarded, & rightly so!!!! Remember that feeling!!! I’m keeping your dad in my thoughts🙏, I hope he gets back home soon. Healing vibes winging their way to Papa Jaifaim🙏!!!
I wish I had stuck to the DTF list @funshipfreddie, then I could share in your Friday enthusiasm!!!! …………..Yay, it’s Friday! 🍹 doesn’t have quite the same meaning to it for me!!!
I’ll post my final results tomorrow, I’m keeping everything crossed until then!!!!😜
Day 31 – UK – NFD
Happy Friday 🙂
Thank you @brightonbelle for hosting July & @flourbaby for offering to host August.
01.07.20 Start Weight = 144.3lbs BMI 28.2
13.07.20 Weight Fast800 = 143.4lbs BMI 27.9
31.07.20 Finish Weight = 138.2lbs BMI 27
With a loss of over 6lbs and 1.2 point of BMI, July has been my most successful month EVER. This is due to the ongoing support of this thread plus the addition of the official FAST800 Plan and some exercise. I’m expecting my loss to slow down but if I can continue to make a steady loss of .5lb – 1lb per week I’ll be happy.
@basyjames wow your husbands 8lbs loss on a WFD. That’s some going. I remember when pre op having to be nil by mouth for a day and lost a big fat 0. Great news about your silhouette! 🙂
@northgeorgia Well done!
@flourbaby I have done it times plenty. Treated ourselves to an indulgent meal ‘because we deserve it and we’ve good all week’, to see the scales jump as much as 5lbs overnight. I know it isn’t fat gain and probably just water but it sometimes takes weeks to get rid off it and sabotages any further effort made. I’ve become much more mindful of macros and how my body reacts to them. My body really doesn’t like grains but seems unaffected by carbs from beans & lentils.
Nice to see you @at 🙂
@brightonbelle I’m along term user of MFP which is great for forward planning. Even though I’m on a Fast800 program I still log everything into it.
@ihatelettuce Great compliment from your off spring!
@annabelle48 I cant always copy and paste the FD list, it depends on what device I’m on. I can never do it if I’m on the the phone, iPad only sometimes and never seem to have a problem on my lap top.
I’m mindful not to let my guard down even if the sun is shining and its Friday and the start of the weekend. I’ve some lovely chilled soda water in the cooler, limes and lemons in the fridge. When soda is in a nice glass, over ice with a slice its almost like a G&T to me 🙂 A nice big salad with grilled spicy chicken and a dressing of oil, lemon, parmesan and garlic is todays main fair.
Have a great Friday!
Day31 UK NFD
A 1lb loss for me , and after reading the posts it’s great to see that success comes in different forms Yes weight loss is great but there’s also the health benefits and there’s the great support network we’ve got going on here So regardless of what the scales say we all deserve a pat on the back this month 👏👏
I’ll do a final mop up tomorrow Thank you all for joining me this month See you all in August with @flourbaby x
Day 31, UK, NFD
Day 30, UK, FD
Yesterday was a successful FD, and although I haven’t reached my goal of fitting in my measurement trousers I still feel that it hasn’t been a waste. At least I haven’t put on weight so that’s something. Hoping for a better August.
@brightonbelle thank you for hosting this month, you’ve been wonderful 💐
I’ll see you all in August challenge with @flourbaby 🙂
