  • Breast Cancer survivor, arthritic knees, colitis, osteoporosis, getting old (58) but still an adrenalin junkie and desperate to get REALLY good at mountain biking enduro racing.Downhill I’m ok, but want to be faster uphill, so losing about 8Kg would improve my power to weight ratio. Well here goes, I’m starting to fast today. Next race Oct 13th, aiming to be on the podium with a small bum!!

    I’m finding it’s best to skip breakfast and lunch and then have a smallish supper. Have lost a few pounds, but struggling with the 4pm munchies ;-(

    RosH that’s a bad time of day isn’t it? I’m lucky enough to be at work at that time but I know I’d have trouble with the 4pm energy dip/munchies if I had access to a fridge or larder!
