  • Hi all,

I didn’t think I’d been away long but wow you’ve all been busy with posts, just had a quick fly through the last 20 or so.

    Ginette,
Thank you for the mentions, I have not found a new job as yet, but applied for 2 and registered with a few agencies and thankfully got 3 days work this week, so we’ll keep the wolf from the door for the time being. They really liked me and the work I did so hopefully they’ll have me back. Hope you are doing well

    Stingray
You’ve done well to share your weight, that’s the same thing as I did when I first started and I felt much better for it, because it was like admitting it to myself how much I weigh. You are right, it didn’t go on overnight, so small steps to getting it off. You are the same weight as me, by the way. I started at nearly 19, so I haven’t lost much, but Oh I’m pleased with myself so far. My first aim is to be under 15. Then maybe to 12. I once was 10.5 stone in my 20s and looked dreadful for it, it was a strange time, as despite eating next to nothing and being the lightest I had ever been, I was still a size 14. So I’m not going there again and I’ll be happy being a 16.

BTW I am back to the weight I was before my summer excess. Now to see how much I can lose before Christmas.

    NEmum

    Hi Loz

We all get those days, especially when starting out. I hope your day ended up better.

    Nemum

Yes it is good to have some days when you are working. I found that agency work was the best way of finding out if I lined a certain job, or a place and I got a permenant job from this as well.

Keep strong on the fasting, use this as your focus point. That weight will come off, but as you know you need to get into the pattern of fasting again. Use the fasting to make you strong, as you lose weight you will gain in confidence and feel good about yourself. It’s is good to be back to pre summer weight now you can work downwards from that.

I didn’t even share my weight with myself for years 🙂 so the forum was the first time I shared it. After I had lost a couple of stone, I told other people, more from a sense of pride as this is where I had come from to where I am now. Also no matter how hard measuring yourself is it has the same effect. I was only pleased that the tape measure wasn’t too short to go around me!!

I am pleased to say that this week I have lost 4lbs, I knew that I would have lost something as I kept running to the loo yesterday and this was the water that my body has held onto all summer leaving. Phew!! I hope this is back to regular losing for me. So my monthly minimum in one week, it can’t be bad!!

This makes me officially at the half way mark. 51lbs lost of 5:2 (since January) with 65 lbs loss in total. So that is 4 stone 8 lbs my target for the half way mark was 4 and a half stones. So only another 4 and a half to go. For now just heading for the half though 🙂 this will take me to below 15 stone, this was my target to be below by Christmas……and still there after Christmas!!

I hope you all have a nice weekend planned.

    Ginette

    Ginette,

    You go girl!
I totally admire your single minded determination, you are an inspiration to us all. It just shows what can be done, even for Ladies of our age. Are you fasting tomorrow, I am, I’m not totally sorted but I’ll start the day with my new discovery – puffed wheat, you get stacks for 15g, I know it’s carbs, but it sees me to lunch with 100ml of soya milk.

Another food discovery that I’d like to share with you ladies is cauliflower couscous. I love couscous, I find it so quick easy and versatile, just heavy on the carbs. But my local Tesco is selling cauliflower all cut up that looks like couscous, I just stir fried it with 2 sprays of 1 cal oil for a few minutes and had that with a chicken breast for a fast day last week, the colour of it totally fooled my body into thinking it was having carbs. It was pricey, but I might try chopping some cauli up to see if it works the same. I’m still a little too scared to try those bare noodles.

    Strength to you all

    NEmum

    Hi Nemum

I tried cauliflower couscous last week. I found it a bit gritty to be honest. I shall have to try it in another way. Yes my weight does fluctuate a bit and in the summer it tends to stay up with water retention. We are going to have a very wet week and this is going to be followed by an Indian summer. This will last about three weeks and temperatures could be back up to the 25 degree mark. This is of course if it happens. So water retention may be back.

Puffed week is volume. Also popcorn that you cook yourself. I have thought about using butter frylight and a little stevia to get a really low calorie drink. Anything that helps is good.

Did you ever try Heck chicken Italia sausages?

I did have a post cone in which was spam, I think that Tech removed it. Be careful all about opening links from people who don’t contribute to threads on a regular basis. Any people new to this thread, we occasionally get spam but thankfully tech is really hot on this and you can report the post, it will soon get sorted. Those of you just browsing, come on in. There is never a better time to get started as now!!

    Ginette

Good morning all! Nice to be back. I weighed myself this morning and contrary to all expectations I lost weight (2lbs). 🙂

I did try to be careful while I was away and I managed one fast day (Wednesday, because I was travelling), but I have to say that I though I would put weight on. Some time ago my doctor said that my metabolism had slowed down a great deal, because of all my medical problems and ops. Perhaps this diet is kick-starting it? Anyway, long may it continue. I’m fasting today and if all goes well will do Wed. and Fri. as well.

I’m away to raid my freezer to see what I can eat tonight for under 270 calories.

    Elfstone

    Hi Elfstone

Well done on your loss. I hope it continues. I think our bodies soon react to fasting so that is a real plus point.

I am fasting Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well.

    Ginette

I am definitely of a certain age and am browsing looking for inspiration as had a bad run in with lasagne last night. Sigh. It was so lovely but it seems to have triggered a carb lust, as in lashings of toast. I am gritting my teeth as weigh in is tomorrow and FD. Have been so good otherwise I must have had a loss surely?
    Beverley

    Hi Beverley

Yes I find that carbs do this to me as well. It acts as a trigger to eat more.

It may be difficult but maybe an omelette for lunch with ham and mushrooms may help. Are you fasting?

    Ginette

    Hi Ginette
Just boiling 2 eggs. Have chopped up bowl of salad. Omlette sounds lovely though. FD tomorrow and weigh in. I don’t know how I am staying off the scales! If I haven’t lost I think I will cut my own throat!!
    Beverley
p.s. my knickers are fitting better. They are no longer doing that roller blind effect due to tummy.

    Hello ladies,

    We are home from caravan.

Had a busy weekend socialising with friends we haven’t seen for ages which was lovely…unfortunately it did mean lots if food, but, I gave tried not to indulge too much.

I am glad to see we have a lot of losers with us….. Ginette well done 4lb is wonderful. ….NeMum too and elfstone Congratulations.

Beverley not long hopefully before you can treat yourself to new knickers, that is a lovely feeling when you ditch them for smaller ones. ..

I must go and do some washing and shopping….

    Keep in touch

    Audrey

    Hi Beverley

Good luck for weigh in day. I must say I also have two or three pairs of knockers that are too big. I wear them around the house now as they have a tendency to gradually come down. I just want to get the wear out of them!

Hi Audrey, thank you. It’s nice to get all the housework out of the way. Nice to see you back.

Hi Loz, how are things for you?

    Ginette

Beverley – I’m with you there: I’m nowhere near to dropping a dress size, but the size I’ve been (squeezing) in of late is feeling a bit more comfortable. One of the people I visited last week said as soon as I walked in that I had lost weight! That’s a good feeling 😀

Feeling ravenous isn’t quite so good though 🙁 I’m *really* hungry, but hoping to hold out for another half hour.
    Elfstone

    Hi all
Weigh in and 2 lbs off. A good inch off round the middle! I knew because of the knicker fitting.
Middle is the main thing as the bulk of the fat is there. This is not just for vanity but I was getting hip joint pains and trouble getting up and down stairs.
Onward and downward. Am cutting out the weekend wine. Empty calories. Also need to watch the ss milk in coffee.
Hope we are all going to have a good day.
    Beverley

    Morning Ladies!!

Hi Ginette – Goodly gosh you have done SO well! I am inspired! One thing I recognize through reading your posts is I MUST drink more. I have 2 cups (black)coffee in the morning, then 1 cup herbal tea at lunch & another cup at around 6. nmmmm its no wonder I get headaches plus I am certain it will assist with the weight loss. I had a reasonable fast day yesterday but another thing I recognise is…. I CAN DO BETTER!!

weighed in – lost a little, measured in – lost a little.

Yesterday I went to the Osteopath as my back was seizing and I could not see for the migraine. It was my fast day so all was going to plan thanks to the rotten head & back. My Osteopath worked a minor miracle on my back and my the time 5pm came around I was SO hungry I could have eaten my arm. I still have my arm but sadly I went over my 500cal. Very Disappointed in myself, but the silver lining is – under normal circumstance – my life as it was – I would have consumed enough chocolate to sink a ship. Anecdotally it seemed to help with migraines… There is SOME truth in the statement….. Suffice to say – I had zero chocolates and stuck to chicken (skinless) and veg (no rice or potatoes). While I may have overindulged (780cals) at least it was not on choccies.

I have been thinking – I might have a 4:3 week this week… try to get my mind into the right frame of FD’s.

How is everyone else going so far this week?

    Have a good one gals!!
    Lozxx

    Hi Elfstone

My change in size took a long time to come as well, it did in the end though. It’s nice when people notice. That took a long time in my case as well.

    Hi Beverley

I know that losing weight will help take the pressure off your joints. Have you tried glucosamine and chondroitin. This is really meant to help with joint problems. Losing one pound of weight takes 4lbs of pressure off of your joints. So it should really help.

Well done on the weight loss and inch loss. It will be interesting to see how many inches you can lose before Christmas……and of course pounds, is it just over 13 weeks to go so at lb a week that is nearly a stone.

    Ginette

Hi Beverley, Excellent loss this week!! whatever you are doing keep on doing it!
I love the knicker fitting gauge! Sooner than you think you may find yourself knicker-less as they fail to stay up due to your weight loss. Happy days…

    Loz xx

    Hi Loz

Sorry we were posting at the same time. Yes even on fast days I dink about 5/6 x 10oz cups of tea, so not a normal size cup or mug at all. 2 ops more.

I will often allow myself enough to have a hot chocolate of the same size cup as well.

I then try to drink some water that changes at this time of the year and I may have a pint of warm, weak juice as well, others find salt helps and have a cup of broil, marmite or oxo. Our bodies really do need the fluids. I will often have a bowl of soup as well, also melon (all water based foods). It is said that water generally helps weight loss. I love to make a sugar free jelly and have this with a large spoon of youghurt. This is really low in calories and perfect for a fast day treat.

I am glad that your back has been sorted out and you are now more comfortable. This was quite a good day in the circumstances, just add an extra day before the weekend. Another thing is that fluids fill you up. I always have about three or four cups to keep me going though fast day, it keeps hunger at bay. Sometimes I think we mistake hunger for thirst. When I start eating it hurst triggers my appetite so I always eat as late as possible.

Try drinking more, much more in your case or eating water laden foods. Soups are really good for these cooker days. I like to add a bit of spice to my soups and they fill me up. I have a soup maker so it is so easy to do.

    Ginette

    Hi Stingray

is your handle cos you look like Marina? I think when I was a girl we all wanted to be Marina, until the Angels came along, Destiny, Melody,Symphony, Rhapsody and Harmony, how come I remember those names so easily, yet have had the house tipped up for a bag of charms I had two days ago and still cant remember where I found them.

Hi Ginette, plodding seems to be the way, am I right that you haven’t plateaued. Nor have I but by gum I’ve bounced up on down the scales a lot! I agree the 4:3, or in my case 2:5, as I’m so good at sabotaging things – helps a great deal.

I find that means two days of the week I can eat a more interesting diet, though I try not to go off the reservation too often.

93 days to Christmas, NEMum – thats one stone at 1 lb a week (6 kilos, 14 lbs), and a dress size. Kinda set myself half a stone a month, including this month, might not get there but I’ll definitely get somewhere and that’s what counts. Hope there is a good job on the horizon!

Sorry, I’m cross posting, ref the plodding, Ginnette but does it matter? I blame my old age – lol!

    Hi Milena

Well I would say that three weeks with out loss is a sort of plateau, two week was ok but a third was not good. Of course it would be nice to lose at a steady rate. I am hoping it will be steadier without such hot weather.

    Ginette

Wow, so much positive! I shall have a look into those supplements Ginette. It seems to happen when I go up into the next stone which I have done before.
I am now needing to still get down 5 lbs to get under……argh.

Christmas, it would be nice to wear something nice. I am just scoffing a bottle of sparkling water and the halo over my head is twinkling away. Just hope it doesn’t slip!

    Hold on tight.
    Beverley

    Hi Ginette,

Yes indeed we were posting at the same time! wierd! I have made an effort today to drink more…. Its a strange thing for me as I usually get SO focussed on work, I sometimes forget I am holding my breath let alone having a drink. funny because I was in the habit of grazing all day long. I am currently 1/3 way through 1 litre of water.

I love soups and have been looking for some low cal ones. I will pop off to the store in a little while to pick up some miso paste for soup. I am pretty much on the same page – when I start eating…. its endless. So as late as humanly possibly even to the point I feed all the animals first… breaking one of my golden rules! 🙂

question Ginette…. Does eating late interfere with the body’s ability to metabolize the food? How late can one eat?

    Hi Milena,

LOL I would love to look like Marina! I use stingray as I have had a number of awesome experiences with Manta rays and other rays. I love all things aquatic including sharks. Wierd… I know. But there you have it.

How are you getting on with your half stone this month? Thats a good goal to have. I set my own initial goals one of which is to STOP grazing all day long. So far… after just over 1 week… I have stopped grazing…. I want to… my mind constantly thinks about what I can munch on… but I have nothing around me TO munch on…. RESULT!

    Have a terrific day all!

    Loz xx

Didn’t realise you had gone 3 weeks with no loss, not like you at all, though 4 lbs in one week – sounds like this stone, more than others, is hanging on for dear life!!! Though this one out of the way for both of us and its all down hill from here – we wish anyway!!!

Hope some of it went from a place it should – doesn’t always seem to come off where we want it to – bottom half of my legs are looking ok, top half still ugh! – though my knees look a little better. Still not sure exactly what is causing the water to stay on my thighs, but ankles are so much better. Losing my love handles and the fat off my back though – and my cheekbones are returning, so can’t complain.

Yes, although the summer is always a really bad time for me with weight loss, hopefully things will now improve as cooler weather is here.

On other diets the summer was always a problem, not so much because I went off the diet but I change to salads, that doesn’t fill me up but also I don’t lose weight. I find it too hot to go out and walk around and also too hot to exercise. Still the weight is going down and so hopefully I shall see a change again. Just have to keep on going. The week where I lost all of that “weight” it was much cooler and I ran to the loo for a whole day non stop, hence water weight.

I think we all have to keep strong even if we don’t see weight loss as the options are stay the same possibly lose or come off of plan and put on. I chose the first options.

    Ginette

    Ginette

    Hi all,

Sorry I haven’t posted today, I have had a very expensive day.

Went to the dentist 2 fillings for ian, then came out and car started playing up so off to the garage, then this afternoon off to opticians for new glasses for me all told £600!

Not sure I can afford to eat now!

Hope you are all doing better

    Audrey

    Hi Stingray

all my posts are going to the wrong threads, how odd – is someone telling me something or is THIS the start of demetia – cos I often feel demented!

anyway, copied and pasted wot i writ, as they say!!!

only a little wierd – the rays are beautiful!

5lb gone so far this month, just had a snack and a episode on the loo – getting used to what I can eat without a gall bladder – dunno what set it off, just bought some brushetta slices from Aldi, they do tomato and oregano, bought the latter, two pieces 116 calories, topped with fresh tomato, basil and a drizzle of olive oil. Just finished it and off to the loo, so strange. On the other hand, a wee bit closer to targets, always a silver lining! Either a fast or semi fast today, chicken for dinner, not sure what to do with it! Making a stirfry with leftovers on Thursday – son wants a korean dish???? – and soup on Friday.

I’m finding I can really stretch the calories with chicken and veg soup, heavy on the veg though, without bread. Going canny all weeks means I can have something special at the weekend. Dunno how long this will last though, I’m good at making plans, not so good at sticking to them.

Anyone making Christmas cakes yet – not sure if I’m going to do one, quite like christmas pudding fried for breakfast with black pudding, sausage, bacon and eggs. Might be easier to just not make the cake!!!

    Hi milena

Aldi have fruit soaked in either brandy or rum on offer now!

I bought 3 bags on Sunday ready to put into my cakes for Christmas.

Think I may be making mine at the end of October gives it a couple of months to mature.

Are you still joining me on liquid only tomorrow?

5lb loss is fantastic, I just found out my thyroid level is low again so until it’s sorted that’s my weight loss stopped!
    Audrey

    Hi Audrey

    Interesting!

Yup! Having Chicken tonight, its a huge one, so leftovers Thursday for normal fast and soup Friday – might be a lot of bowls!

Got a load of fizzy water in for tomorrow, I’ve plenty of herbal teas but not at all keen on them, so probably water and tea! We can get through this!!!

Sorry to hear about your woes – cars are a bane, cos my man is an engineer and a petrolhead, he does most of the stuff on the cars, though garage visits always seem to come when we have not money. I think – hard to tell cos we rarely have money! Just got some cash from the sale of the midget, but the exhaust has fallen off the espace. They do say God doesn’t burden you more than you can take – its a close thing sometimes!

    Hi milena,

Glad you are joining me, I am a bit fed up with the thyroid now I know I am not going to be able to lose much if any weight but at least I may be able to stop gaining as much. I keep losing 1 lb and the gaining 2!

    Catch up tomorrow

    Audrey

Keep the faith Audrey, it WILL come off, just not when you expect it, just tuck in the chin. The thyroid is a bugger, is your doctor working with you – Sim might have some advice too. Important thing is to get the pound off – then deal with keeping it off. One pound only – every journey – first step – you know the saying. So aim to lose one pound this week and NOT put it back on next week – that would be a victory. we both need to learn how to maximise being full from as few calories as possible. Hour by hour tomorrow eh, there are only 24 of them and if all else fails, go to bed!!!

I think many forget that we are like supertankers – bloody difficult to stop and a major operation to turn around – so not much use plotting the journey before turning the ship around – and it feels like the rudder is bust and the ship goes its own way sometimes – make a change from motor car analogies!

    Thanks milena,

The thyroid is just a real bugger! Yesterday when we came home we both got onto scales, before we went to bed we weighed in again ian had put on 1 lb about normal I put on 3.5 lb! I knew then that it had gone pear shaped again.

I am in to see Dr Oct 21st.so I am just hoping not to gain before then, not much chance of losing …..

Think I need some serious motivation, and you are just the best person I know that can do it…

Going bed soon ready for liquid day tomorrow. …

Thanks for the pep talk hehe ?

me too, I didn’t go until 5am, last night. Lets get through tomorrow eh? and then we can polish our halos!!!

Have you ever tried Miso soup, I see it mentioned a lot, sounds a bit like bovril? Anyone know?

    Hi Ladies,

I really should check in more, love all the positivity. I like the idea of the knicker test for weight loss. Thanks Beverly for that!

Ginette and Stingray, you cannot underestimate the benefits of drinking water – every part of you benefits. Brain power, joints and it generally eases the transit of food, particularly good for those of us who have constipation problems after a fast day.

    13 weeks until Christmas …
Who’s up for losing a stone?
    Final push for 2015.
Start 2016 as you mean to go on!
    I’m in …

    NEmum

    Morning all,

I am ready for the challenge Nemum was a bit down yesterday but feeling more positive today!

Ready for my liquid day today, will try to drink a lot more today I don’t think I drink enough either.

How is the job hunting going? Hope you get sorted soon

    Your fast friend

    Audrey

    Mornin all!

Hi Milena – Miso is a Japanese soup made out of Miso paste (funny that!!) and stock. the Miso paste has a taste that is a bit salty, a bit sweet, quite savoury made from fermented Soya beans. its protein rich and by itself, is not all that exciting I guess. Try adding veges and/or fish.

Hi NEmum – Your challenge to lose a stone…. I accept! I have no idea how it will pan out, or how I will manage that given my initial goal was a lot less… but I figure I will give it my best shot!

Hi Audreyg – hope you are feeling a little better today. I am on the herbal teas today – bit of Rooibos, bit of mint.. and my litre bottle of water! will see how I go!

Hi ginette – how are you doing today? I agree with your feelings on choosing your option 1. “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” I think that was Henry Ford? But its absolutely true for me.!!

The suns’s out today – here’s Hoping you all have a good day!

    Lozxx

Count me in for the challenge. I shall just keep on keeping on.

Feeling fat today. Should stop looking sideways in the mirror and hoping for an overnight miracle. lol

    Beverley

Just had my oxo to stave off headaches. .. liquid only going ok as yet!

    Milena how are you doing?

Have a good day everyone fast or feast

    Audrey

Good afternoon. 🙂 I was going to fast today, but I could NOT get to sleep last night – no idea why – and I feel like death warmed up today; maybe I’m sickening for something? 🙁 Anyway I decided that fasting can wait until tomorrow, if I’m feeling better.

“13 weeks until Christmas …Who’s up for losing a stone? Final push for 2015. Start 2016 as you mean to go on! I’m in …”

Well I’m in by default in that I hope to have lost another stone by Christmas, but framing it that way is a very good idea NEmum 😀

    Elfstone

    Hi Audrey

Yes life can be really expensive when we least expect it. Audrey are you keeping check (calorie wise) on what you are eating on NFDs. You need to see if this is contributing to your gain, also certain foods tend to stay in the pipe line for longer. I imagine that time in the caravan can be a bit tempting food wise, I really have to limit bread and potatoes and all starchy foods.

You just need to take out the other options, to get to the root of it. Maybe weigh in a couple of days and see what the results are. I have to take a laxative once a week just to help. I find that 5:2 seems to be the the reason for this, and now that I am doing 4:3 I really need to.

I am trying to increase fibre wherever possible as I know that this will help as well and you really need water to go with this otherwise you will get blocked and food will not pass through as easily, now this can be in the form of soups, sugar free jellies, melon or through drinks. But increase it you must. As Nemum has pointed out, water is essential for all parts of our body and the workings within!! Good luck with liquids only.

Hi Nemum, you don’t have to convert the converted. I spoke to my Heath trainer and when I spoke about constipation, he said that with my diet of meat or fish with vegetables at almost every meal I had to drink more water. Now I already drink a lot in teas and as water or occasionally water flavoured with a little squash, hot or cold. It depends on the weather. Hot weather I drink it cold burst cold weather I add about a teaspoon of awash to a pint and drink it warm/hot. Also I have water laden foods.

Yes I will join the challenge. Glad to see you back in action so to speak and as the person who often sets a challenge you need to do this as well, what a good focus, I hope Nedad is also on board.

    Hi Loz

I tried miso soup once on its own, I found it tasteless. Maybe as a base for something it would be good. I would need to be convinced. Was it you that asked about eating late at night? I always eat late about 7.30 – 8.30 unless I am with my SM. I find it good. Although I don’t normally go to bed until about 1 at the earliest. I have always been a night owl. Often it is later than that. I have trouble with sleeping and I am still suffering from vivid dreams and occasional nightmares, this has been a bad week for them.

No sun here, but a nice sunny forum makes up for it.

I’m fasting today as well. Trying out an old favorite today….. More on this later.

    Ginette

    Hi Elfstone

Sorry I missed your post. I hope you feel better soon. A nice warm soup sounds just the job!!

I hope you feel better soon.

    Ginette

    Milena,

How are you doing on our liquid day.

I have drank lots of water, had an oxo cube and 2 cups of sufar free vimto so far so good….

    Keep in touch

    Audrey

    Hey Ginette,

Really sorry to hear you dont sleep so well and what sleep you do have appears interrupted by dreams of one sort or another. I felt exhausted just reading that. Mind I average around 4 hours a night tops… I guess I cant get comfy (too much weight!) and I alternate being far too hot or just plain cold.

Miso is definitely not a strong flavour! 🙂 I would put smoked hot trout or smoked mackerel (or chicken) with some soba noodles broken up and spring onion finely sliced. Even then, the main flavour would be the fish (or chicken).

To all the lovely ladies on here… have a great rest of day!

    Loz xx

    Hi Audrey

Sorry, day started fine, up at 7 doing my photography – uploaded windows 10 – put up, just, with the smell of frying bacon – then spent 7 hours trying up upload my photos to finepix, bought a new lead, as Im having to fouter since I mislaid the original, bought a new memory card, cos mines been playing up, bought new batteries, cos they are recharging for about 5 minutes use. Not a jot of difference.

Finally, unloaded windows ten, back to foutering with two cameras, but finally done upload !!!!!

So just 8 hours to go til bed and 18 or 20 to go before I can have – oh – 500 or so calories. It should seem a great deal after today.

Well done, Ive had just two cuppas. Stay strong. That pound is going, for good!!!!

Would be a wasted day if I worked an 8 hour day, good job I do 16!!!!

Soooooo ratty, Im a mardy cow when the computer doesn’t do exactly what I expect.

Not eating probably giving me even more if a munk on, but at least the day is passing, doesn’t help we’re watching the rugby, always a tad tense when Scotland play, but there is a smile on my man’s face – for a change! They are playing well in the second half.

    Milena,

Sorry you are having a bad day, but, glad you haven’t given in to food!

We are about half way through now so not long till tomorrow.

I am planning on not eating till tomorrow about 5 ish if I can last out that long!

I am thinking of getting some of my stew out the freezer so I can just heat and eat, what are you planning on?

Stay strong my fast friend together we can do this ……

    Audrey

    Hi Audrey

are you having a fast day tomorrow? If you are holding off til 5, it can be done. Had the runs twice yesterday, after the snack and after dinner, bit worrying but fairly certain no goods in transit, so hopefully actually burning fat. So Ill keep you company.

Elf, Im also aiming for a stone, planning two, started 1st September, trying for two makes one more doable I reckon. Hard to fail, that way, reaching for the moon, may reach the stars. 5lb down thus far, hopefully a couple more by end of month. Good luck!!!

    Hi milena,

Yes I am going till 5 tomorrow. ….fingers crossed x

I have given myself a good telling off for being so down yesterday and am back to being my Happy little self again today.

I have decided if I can’t lose weight so be it but I am determined not to put any more back on!

Glad you are with me at least in spirit!

    Audrey

    Good afternoon ladies,

“If you always do what you’ve always done,
you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”
Thanks for that Stingray – I like that!

Audrey, thanks for asking about my job, I haven’t got a regular one as yet, but I’m with an agency and they’ve got me 3 days work last week and 3 days this week too, so I’m a lot happier. I got some really good feedback from the job this week, so hopefully they will at least ask me back. You did indeed seem to have a really expensive day, hope things are better now. And hope the liquid diet is going well, did I read that you were doing a back to back – you are brave, you will be reaping the rewards soon. Don’t lose heart and stick with it. Have you had the doc appointment yet?

Great response to the Drop a Stone for Christmas,

Thanks for the kick start Milena

    Nemum

By the way, NEdad, seems to have stopped already …lightweight!

Well done Audrey and Milena on your liquid day. Keep strong.

The thing that did help me was Paul McKenna. When it gets too bad and I am really stressed I turn to his CD. I have a sleep one as well but I have only used the stress one so far. It really did help.

Yes well done Nemum, we will tally up with you and hopefully the challenge will be good for all of us. I am always up for a challenge. I want to be a stone under in January as well, that will make sure that I don’t overdo things at Christmas. There are far to many things around. I shall definetly be fasting three days a week then as well to give myself the freedom on the other days.

Shame about Nedad being a lightweight. Maybe your loss will shame him into joining us!! He will lose it more quickly as well.

    Ginette

    Hi NeMum

Yes both myself and milena are both doing liquid only today and a fast day tomorrow only 24 more hrs then I can eat….

Glad you are getting a bit of work coming in, I used to temp quite a lot I really liked doing it and got offered quite a lot of jobs let’s hope it’s the same for you!

My Dr’s appointment is not until 20th Oct so quite a wait, but I have decided to give myself a kick up the backside today and have stopped feeling sorry for myself. If I can’t lose the weight so be it but I am determined to not put any more back on!

    Keep on losing

    Audrey

    Well done Audrey

Have a good night and look forward to food tomorrow.

    Ginette
